Derick David
Derick David’s Biography
At 14, I and my family immigrated to Italy where I got exposed to the beautiful Italian culture and language. My interest in design and technology was fueled by reading Steve Jobs' book and attending Apple's training program in Naples where I learned about their app ecosystem.
Between 2018 to 2020, I worked with a Stanford fellow Adriano Farano and his then-new venture Pactio, which was incubated at Stanford University's top accelerator program, StartX. This gave me the opportunity to apply my design training and skillset in a startup environment while learning from a seasoned Silicon Valley entrepreneur.
In 2021, I founded Hikre School, a school for aspiring app designers and developers. I led a batch of students in the Philippines that won $40,000 worth of rewards through their app projects.
Cryptocurrencies are an idea that caught my eye reading Stanford's research papers about blockchain back in 2018. Today, I design for fintech and web3 startups and independently write for Forbes about digital assets.
In all, I've done work with people from Washington Post, Y Combinator, Business Insider, Stanford University, and Apple.
