We Dems have a dilemma regarding the 2024 presidential election
Mon Jun 5, 2023, 01:45 PM If Trump is the Republican nominee, I believe Joe Biden will, once again, kick his orange ass back to Mar-a-Lago. However, what if for some reason, (Jail? A lightening bolt?), Trump isn't the Republican nominee? In that event, whoever the Republican nominee is will run on one issue. Joe's age. (And before you scream at me, I'm a big fan of Joe and I want him to win no matter who the Republicans run.) But, face it.
All of the polling shows that the majority of the voters think three things:
Prices are two high. Biden is too old, and Trump is a disgusting person. Biden has traveled the country promoting his accomplishments, and is running tv ads. It hasn't made any difference. His approval ratings remain in the low Fortys. Near 40% of the voting population considers themselves to be independents. Many of them are cynical of both major parties. If ever there was a time where a third party candidate could take hold and affect the 2024 election, this is it.

There is no data suggesting that either State will be in play for the Presidential Election in 2024. And no, there aren't enough hidden Democrats in either State to overcome the Republican edge. Therefore, the path to victory will rely on voters splitting their vote Trump (or Desantis) / Tester (or Brown), just like they split their votes with the Republican Governors in 2018.

The mandatory retirement age of 60 for commercial pilots was changed to 65 not too long ago as people are staying healthier longer. Pollsters Have 'No F*cking Idea What's Going to Happen' This Election
I read once that poll accuracy is determined by the number of folks polled. Take the square root of the number polled. Divide 100 by that square root. It gives you the approx +/_ accuracy. 400 folks polled is +/_ 5% accurate. 1600 folks polled is +/_ 2.5% accurate Very rough and simplistic. A statistics class would hammer you with more details. Especially; are the folks polled a valid cross section of the voters? Or; are they mostly true believers in the issue/candidate or mostly non-believers?
