What was your first job as a journalist?
My first real paying journalism gig (I did non-paying prior to this) was to catalog the damaged stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for THR.
How is social media changing news?
social media has drastically changed the way we process and disseminate information. deadlines are shorter, stories are updated constantly.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
I'm not sure I have one. Mary Jane Watson in the Insomniac Spider-Man games comes to mind. She's courageous when it comes to news gathering.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I don't usually get pitched, so ... I don't have many guidelines for this. If it does occur, early morning emails are great.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter, for sure.
Why did you become a journalist?
I'd like to think it's because I am a nosy person and I really enjoy figuring out how things work or why they exist in the first place.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did! Mayfair Windjammer. I was the opinion editor for the paper, and I mostly wrote about books and movies.
What's your favorite drink?
BJs has a really tasty Irish Whiskey Root Beer drink.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Catching up on the billions of minutes I'm behind on in television programming, reading or trying to plan my next trip (safely) .

The Hollywood Reporter, Los Angeles Times, Variety, Huffington Post, Deadline, Roger Ebert, and various local indie review sites.
