Devesh Mishra’s Biography
I am a Digital Verification Journalist and Fact Checker based in New Delhi, specializing in tracking disinformation, misinformation, and fake news circulated across social media in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to my current role at AFP, I worked as a reporter for the fact-checking platform BOOM Live in New Delhi and as a media trainer for the Google News Initiative’s FactShala programme. My reporting focuses on issues such as sectarian violence, climate change, and online scams, including phishing attacks in India. Outside of work, I have a deep passion for Politics, literature, cinema, and music.
