Isolation and Identification of Some Crude Oil‐Degrading Bacterial From Soil Contaminated With Crude Oil
1 Introduction The issue of pollution caused by petroleum hydrocarbons and its impact on soil and aquatic ecosystems is a serious global challenge. Pollution from petroleum hydrocarbons poses a significant threat to the health of all living organisms and due to their persistent and long-lasting characteristics is classified as a priority and emerging pollutant [1]. The solid materials present in petroleum compounds increase the salinity in aquatic and soil environments.
Modeling CO2 solubility in polyethylene glycol polymer using data driven methods
ABSTRACT The solubility of CO2 in polyethylene glycol (PEG) polymer is a critical parameter for optimizing its use in various industrial processes, underscoring the need for precise predictive models. In this research, a Random Forest (RF) machine learning model is meticulously tuned through four sophisticated optimization algorithms: Batch Bayesian Optimization (BBO), Self-Adaptive Differential Evolution (SADE), Bayesian Probability Improvement (BPI), and Gaussian Processes Optimization (GPO).
Controlling fine migration in clay-rich sandstones using hexamethylenetetramine as a surface charge modifier
Abstract Fine migration during water flooding operations poses significant challenges to oil production, including reduced reservoir permeability and pore blockage in sandstone formations. This study investigates the effectiveness of hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA) in controlling fine migration by altering particle surface charges and wettability. Experiments were conducted to evaluate HMTA’s impact on clay-rich sandstone’s zeta potential, wettability, and core permeability.
