What was your first job as a journalist?
In my last year at college, I was the producer of a small radio channel. It was my first time making interviews to get stories in real time.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes.
How is social media changing news?
It's both competing against and feeding the public's impatience. Not a fan, but got to play the game.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Kate Cold and Eva Luna, both created by the marvelous Isabel Allende.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Means to be strong-willed, self-driven and with strong morals, to point you in the right direction as in life and your work.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
Probably something about politics.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
By e-mail or Telegram. Politely.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Telegram, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Wordpress.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter.

Why did you become a journalist?
I love writing and creating content that leads to a positive impact.

We didn't have one.

Yet to be written.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Make the dumb questions before publishing. You can't inform on what you don't understand.

The reality of cryptocurrency adoption in Venezuela.

Probably something about markets.
What's your favorite drink?
Pear juice.

Reading in a park.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That is all a scam, since there's too much misinformation around finance and technology. My job is to see through smoke!
