Max Lucado Devotional – October 20, 2026 | Hear God’s Name
8 Max Lucado Devotional – October 20, 2026, Tuesday Message Read Max Lucado Devotional October 20, 2026 – Read Inspirational Message Written by Pastor Max Lucado TOPIC: Hear God’s Name Jesus says to us what he said to the disciples on the stormy sea. “It is I, don’t be afraid” (John 6:20). The literal translation of what Jesus said is, “I AM, don’t be afraid.” I AM. That’s God’s name. When we wonder if God is coming, he answers with his name, I AM. When we wonder if he is able, he declares, I AM.
Rising Above Your Roots To The Top
Text: Isaiah 6:1-5 This is a day to cry seriously unto the heavenlies. The process of self discovery may be very tough but it is rewarding; so that you do not become a round peg in a square hole. In Isaiah 6, we read the story of Isaiah. Isaiah 6:1-5 (KJV) says: “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
Rising Above Your Roots To The Top
Isaiah 2:2, Matthew 5:14–16, 2 Chronicles 33:1–7, 9; 34:1-2 At your age, you do not think you should think about your life, settle down, and think of something that will move your destiny forward. You go to places where people just waste their lives and time. The time you are wasting to do all those useless things, the time you are wasting sitting down to make your hair, if you use it to run a bakery, sew, type, or do computing, or booksetting, will move your life forward.

Isaiah 2:2, Matthew 5:14–16, 2 Chronicles 33:1–7, 9; 34:1-2 Isaiah 2:2 (KJV) says: “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.” Matthew 5:14–16 (KJV) says, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Confronting The Rage Of Vampire Powers
Scripture: Psalms 27:2 – “When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell” Prayer is a mysterious thing. Prayer is a strategic thing. Prayers locate, direct, attack, recover, pursue, overtake. We are studying the Word of God today so that we can begin to address certain things that have become a serious source of concern. The wicked, “my enemies” and “my foes” are 3 qualifications the Bible calls these powers.
Anointing To Pursue Your Pursuers 2
1 Samuel 30:8 – David inquired of the Lord and was told to pursue, overtake, and recover all.
Dangerous Enemies, Dangerous Prayers
TEXT: 2 KINGS 2-19:23, ACTS 13-6 Enemies walking up and down to destroy me,Oh Lord destroy them with death in Jesus’ name. Those that are insisting on destroying me, Oh Lord make them mad and blind in Jesus’ name. Every spoiler of destiny begin to eat ashes till you die in Jesus’ name. Holy Ghost throw the stones of confusion upon every enemy of my promised land in Jesus’ name.

Dangerous Enemies, Dangerous Prayers
TEXT: 2 KINGS 2-19:23, ACTS 13-6 Instead of crying and complaining go to a powerful gathering where dangerous prayers are prayed. Uncommon favour. YOU NEED TO PRAY DANGEROUS PRAYERS WHEN; Unbelievers are asking where is your God When your marriage is at stake. You have been tied down with sickness and infirmity Things aren’t working out well for you. When people are mocking you When people have already concluded that you are finished. When you are confronted with your Jordan.
The Battle Trafficators
1 Corinthians 9: 26-27 sexual partners.* Somebody who committed sexual immorality with a goat, is different from the person who had sexual immorality with a serpent. One who slept with a marine power, is different from the one who slept with rock demon. Somebody who is going from prostitute to prostitute, and on and on; while eight of those prostitute are witches – there is a connection between prostitution and witchcraft.
The Battle Trafficators
1 Corinthians 9: 26-27 Today , by the grace of God, we are looking at what I call, ‘The battle trafficator.’ and I will read from 1 Corinthians 9, let’s look at verse 26 and 27: I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Neutralising Satanic Prayers
Text: Luke 4:34; 22:31. They are in darkness every day. Sometimes they could be more than 500 in a place, but they are heavily paid for the evil assignment they have. So if somebody is against you at your place of work, or if you are a politician and somebody is against you, all they need to do is pay them millions of money and give them your name. These men, who remain in darkness all day, will be chanting the name of the person.
Neutralising Satanic Prayers
Text: Luke 4:34; 22:31. You will recall that we previously explored this topic in Luke 22:31, where Jesus warned Peter, ‘Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to sift you all like wheat.’ As we know, sifting wheat is a violent and dangerous procedure, and for the wheat itself, it is a deeply painful process. Sometimes they put it on the ground, and people are just stamping on it. So the satanic prayer was to sift Peter as wheat. But thank God, there was a counter prayer by Jesus, who said, “….
The Company You Keep
This is embarrassing.” The mummy replied, “Wherever I cannot pray, then I’m in the wrong company. I must go home.” Are you still in the cinema Christian? You go and watch a film, something is wrong somewhere. There are different companies that are available. If you are in the wrong company, use this time to break free. We did not say you should not go and minister to unbelievers so that they can surrender their lives to Jesus. You can minister to them, but you must not join in their iniquity.

The Awesome Power Of Meditation
Scripture reveals meditation as a quiet but aggressive power. As believers dwell on God’s Word day and night, their minds transform, divine wisdom flows, negative strongholds break, and prosperity, guidance, peace, and spiritual maturity emerge through attentive stillness before God. Text: Joshua 1:8, Psalms 1:1-3, 63:6, 1 Timothy 4:14-15* Today, we are looking at one of the greatest sources of power. There are only two things that can get you anything you want: They are power wisdom.
The Masquerading Demon Of Stagnancy
Text: 2 Kings 7:9 2025 was a very troublesome year. And God is expecting us to reposition ourselves for a better year. But there is a power I need to explain to you about which I need all of us to battle against.
21 Lessons From Psalms From Psalm 68:1
Text: Psalm 68:1-2. Numbers 10:35 I am praying there will be somebody here who will be able to shout, “Let God arise, and let my stubborn enemies scatter,” in the name of Jesus. When God arises: ¶¶ Your enemies release your confiscated blessings. ¶¶ The angels of the Lord will destroy your enemies the way an angel killed 185,000 Assyrians. ¶¶ You receive angelic assistance. A brother went to preach in a village. Those villagers were proud of their wicked powers.
21 Lessons From Psalms From Psalm 68:1.
Psalms 68:1 declares, “Let God arise; let his enemies be scattered.” This powerful cry signals divine intervention, reminding believers that when God steps into any battle, demonic confidence collapses and every opposing force flees before His presence with great power. This is a passage from which we will pick out our lessons . It represents one of the most powerful prayer points in scriptures that scares the enemy. You ask, “Can the enemy be scared?” Yes.
The Tragedy Of The Shallow Christian
Text: Matthew 7:21-23, Psalms 103:7 When Satan no longer bothers to fight you because he knows you are not doing any harm to him. When you cannot discern between true and false doctrines. When you have zero holiness or avoid holiness teachings.
The Tragedy Of The Shallow Christian
Text: Matthew 7:21-23, Psalms 103:7 This morning, I would like you to read this message with understanding. This is a sermon for those who can think deep, who want to go to their next level with God, and who are tired of the life of the valley. Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV) says, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
Connecting To The God Of Wonders (Part 2)
Exodus 15:11 I see somebody reading this message today, if you can shout a ten fold “Amen”; your stubborn enemies are in trouble, in the name of Jesus! At the voice of that God of wonders, all opposition scatter. If He has not spoken, it’s another thing. But once He speaks, that is it. Many come to church, but they don’t really believe. They doubt a lot, many have educated themselves above faith. Many have accepted the conditions of the enemy.
The Tragedy Of Laziness
Proverbs 24:30-34, 26:13-16, 6:9-11, Ecclesiastes 10:18 Laziness of lazy bodies. A lazy man is a dead man that is yet to be buried. I want you to understand that no one can climb any mountain by just looking at it. It is not possible. You must make an effort. The vehicle of failure travels fast on the road of laziness. Spiritual laziness is a disaster. When somebody is spiritually lazy, he has deep distaste for the things of God which masquerades as laziness.
The Tragedy Of Laziness
Proverbs 24:30-34, 26:13-16, 6:9-11, Ecclesiastes 10:18 Physical laziness is very bad, but spiritual laziness is worse. Just as someone who is physically lazy may not make any progress, the man who is spiritually lazy is a time bomb waiting to explode.
Visible Out Of The Invisible
He can make a way for you. He can bring the visible out of the invisible. God is the knife-less surgeon, and if you are here today and you need surgery, He will operate on you. God can create a space where there is none. They say, “It is full,” but He makes space for somebody. God can set invisible enemies against your visible enemies. Invisible enemies will be pursuing your visible enemies because God can bring something out of nothing.
Visible Out Of The Invisible
Colossians 1:16, Hebrews 11:3 Close your eyes and say this the way I am going to say mine. Dark agenda in the spirit realm to destroy me, backfire, in the name of Jesus. Hebrews 11:3 (KJV) says, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” Genesis 1:1 tells us, “In the beginning God created…..” In the beginning it was God and nothing. Then things began to happen.
Visible Out Of The Invisible
Colossians 1:16, Hebrews 11:3 If you want to say the topic in modern-day English, you will say “Something out of nothing.”. The beautiful thing about the Bible is that it gives you information. When you get the information, you get revelation and when you have revelation, you can apply scriptures. The information the Bible gives to you is telling you what is available, what you are entitled to. So I am going to tell you what is available.
Connecting To The God Of Wonders (Part 2)
Exodus 15:11 We are reading from Exodus chapter 15, verse 11, and I will like everyone to open to Exodus 15:11. Begin to speak to the Lord now, ask for His wonders to begin to manifest in your life, , in every department of your life, in the name of Jesus! The last time, I told you that a wonder is an event that cannot be explained by the laws of nature, God’s special act that cannot be explained or duplicated.
Deliver Your Star (Joseph Had A Dream)
Genesis 37:9-11, Matthew 2:2,9 It was in my church many years back. A seventy-year-old man got born again. The man was so full of the joy of the Holy Ghost. He would sing, dance, and clap the loudest, even more than the young ones. So he was always bustling with energy in our services. He was so happy that he had found Christ at an old age. One day, we arrived at an evening revival service, and we saw him with his head bowed. He was not singing or dancing. He looked very unhappy.
The Ministry Of Personal Deliverance (PART 11)
Genesis 1:20;, Genesis 15:7-11;, Matthew 13:4;, Matthew 13:18-19, Isaiah 8:19; &, Ephesians 6:12. Nationally, we have heavens. It will be a tragedy that there are evil birds flying in your heavens. It will also be a tragedy when the heavens over a person’s head have become brass. This is a very serious matter. PROPHETIC DECLARATION. I am praying again for somebody here today: Any satanic bird playing in your heavens: I command them to crash land, in the name of Jesus.
The Ministry Of Personal Deliverance (PART 11)
PROPHETIC DECLARATION. May every evil cry against you by satanic birds and environmental witchcraft, backfire, in the name of Jesus. In the popular Ephesians 6:12 (KJV), we see For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. There are a lot of camouflaging powers in the environment.
The Ministry Of Personal Deliverance (PART 11)
Genesis 1:20;, Genesis 15:7-11;, Matthew 13:4;, Matthew 13:18-19, Isaiah 8:19; &, Ephesians 6:12. Today, we are picking a small portion of Environmental Deliverance. In this headquarters, by that area where we used to have the information office many years back in 1995, the Ministers were holding a prayer vigil in church. At the time, it was just Auditorium A we had. They called me and said, Sir, something has happened.”They told me that as they were praying, they saw three birds flying above them.
The Ministry Of Personal Deliverance (PART 11)
Genesis 1:20;, Genesis 15:7-11;, Matthew 13:4;, Matthew 13:18-19, Isaiah 8:19; &, Ephesians 6:12. There are different layers of personal deliverance where you must pay very close attention. There is another layer known as “Environmental Spiritual Sanitation.” Things happening in the environment affect people. Sometimes, what is troubling people is not inside them perse, but outside. One foreign diplomat representing Nigeria was having attacks every night.
He said “there has been a small confusion here, a woman was going to travel out, and we looked at the picture, we found out that her face was no longer the same.with the picture that we found on her passport”. She revealed that God healed her through you.
Bringing Down Your Foundational Goliath
1 Samuel 17:26-27, 40-51* He said again, “Can I ask you a question?” I replied, “Yes.” He asked, “How many wives does Solomon have?” I said “700.” He asked again, “Is he not the wisest man that lived?” I replied, “Yes, that is what the Bible said.” He said yet again. “I am not asking for two or three, just one.” I said again, “Professor, do not do so.” He still did not listen. He went to marry this strange woman.

The Ministry Of Blood Deliverance (3)
9. Pray to withdraw your blood from ancestral demons. 10. Pray to replace the blood with the blood of Jesus. 11. Let the blood of Jesus mix with your blood and replace every evil blood inside you. 12. Use the blood of Jesus to destroy any satanic investment in your blood. It is in order to pray: “By the blood of Jesus, I remove every satanic investment from my blood.” 13. Protect your blood. You may ask, “How do I do that?” 14. Ask the Holy Spirit to build divine protection to safeguard your blood. 15.
