What was your first job as a journalist?
Assistant Fitness Editor at PopSugar (or blogger at beauty & the beach, The Haute Mess, and Founded Magazine before that!)
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Via email in a somewhat structured format (bullets and concise descriptions with links are appreciated!).

Why did you become a journalist?
I love storytelling, and I love learning. Journalism is the perfect combination of the two. I feel so grateful to be in this position.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
It's hard to pinpoint 1; the pitches that know exactly what I write about & anticipate what would make sense for the next story are the best!
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
This is a mean question! I did get invited to a vintage car show once... that was pretty random.
What's your favorite drink?
La Croix Key Lime, or Chateau Minuty Rosé et Or
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
At the beach in La Jolla with my dog Stella, on a Pilates reformer, at Disneyland, or reading a book.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That wellness is all about weight loss, diet trends, and "bikini" bodies.
