SB3 Does not play Windows media player playlists (.wpl files))
Don Dadda Distinguished Member #1 Hi all As per title. I'm having a problem playing any playlists created by windows media player. They have played before which was a while ago, but now none plays at all. All can be seen but when selected, the sb3 says it's empty. I open the playlist file using notepad and the playlist can be viewed with the added music and paths all there. I don't have itunes and ver of squeezecenter is 7.1 which is installed on a NAS unit.

Wharfedale Evo 4.4 The harsh reality!
#1 I finally stopped messing myself around, and had mine delivered yesterday. I've been 'glancing back' at them since they came out. WHAT A TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME!!! Question - Seeking high-class cassette deck
#1 I have a Sansui SC1330 two-head, which was pretty good forty years ago. The drive was repaired by a hifi shop in 2012 and since then it has a little wow. Noticeable on piano. We moved house immediately after the repair so I wasn't able to take it back. Now I have a hundreds of LPs to tape and I'm thinking to buy a better deck. Any recommendations? I see the eBay seller NAK Central has a lot of quality kit, Dragon and the like. Any thoughts or experience?
Naim Unitiqute faint display
#1 Hi all i have the 1st gen Naim Unitiqute which I bought s/h almost 6yrs and its going great without issues and functionally its fine but the last couple months the display has become very faint. As of the time of this post, the display has become barely visible. There is no brightness adjustment and searching the problem suggests this is not uncommon among Naim kit around this era and some after.
Looking for Sliding TV Mount for 32” tv
#1 Hi all I’m looking for a sliding tv mount to mount a 32” tv in a 8” gap between a wall and wardrobe in the bedroom I could only find 1 out of all the tv mounts out there that’s sliding and fits the requirements which I am completely surprised about and that is in the US. Couldn’t find anything similar in the UK. Or from any other brand ThIs is perfect for the requirement but I have a couple of issues with it. a) only available from the US, b) the price.

#2 Do we still have names for these sectors like the old days. I suppose this would be a micro system? not a mini or midi. Midi is a bit 80's #3 I have a 611. Cracking little system. Have it paired with some Wharfedale 9.1's, i use it on my xbox setup to play music and tv audio through. Always surprises me how well it sounds for such a compact unit. As the review of the newer model says it has alsorts of options for connectivity. Just a note on the review the 611 doesn't just come in two tone finish.

#1 Hi, I have various music solutions throughout my house but struggling to decide on what to get for my newly built summer house. I have a proper Hi-Fi solution in my kitchen/family room and I have a B&W Zeppelin Air in my lounge which is more like what I am after for summer house. It's a bit older and AirPlay has always been flakey and even the dock is starting to play up so I don't want to go down this route again.

Question - Arcam Alpha 6 CD Player drawer broken?

I've managed to open the unit and undone dozens of screws. I can see the the gear wheel is attached below the drawer but can't access it. I don't want to send it for repair as the cost is doubtless greater than it's worth. I just want to replace the gear wheel for around £6. Any tips...?
Roksan Caspian M1 vs. M2 Integrated
Whilst audioning my MDac a few months back we used an M2 as the amp in the testing chain, amounst other things. I was super impressed with it and so have decided to put that on my audition list. That retails at £1649 brand new which does fit in with my budget of around £1800. But in the last few weeks I've noticed that 2nd hand M1s often go for under £500 (£1449 when new). There was even an unopened one for under £600 when I looked earlier in the week at an auction site. Not sure what it finished at.

However, rumors of faulty products have reached my ears too. Cambridge sent the Flagship 851A to Stereophile for review, and they had problems with the device. Upon getting a new copy, things worked better.
Kenwood 3020 amp how good
Is that the Kenwood KA-3020 or is it the Kenwood KA-3020SE? The 'SE' version has almost double the power supply of the standard version. Hard to find info on an older amp like this, but the best I could come up with was that it was a roughly 30w/ch to 45w/ch amp (depending on who you ask) that sold for JP-YEN¥35,000 in 1993, which using today's conversion rates equals about £255. Yes, old amps can be good, and back in the day, Kenwood was a respected brand.
