Don't Be Like Me! Some Mistakes I Made on My Publishing Journey.
😓😓😓😓 My second picture book Super Pizza & Kid Kale comes out this year! Reflecting on the upcoming release of this goofy story about friendship and food puns allowed me to see how far I’ve come in my writing journey. And by that, I mean how many mistakes I made in the beginning! While I think mistakes are a natural part of creative lives, I do want to save pre-published authors some time with a little advice.

Healing the Part That's Bulimic
Trigger warning On some occasions there were dinners in restaurants where people wanted me to stay, dinners where I wanted to be, but being there was more than I had to give because I couldn't relax and so I ate too much dinner. Depression Sucks
If I had a dollar for every time I thought that or said it out loud, I'd be sitting on my own private beach somewhere sipping ice cold root beer from a glass with an umbrella in it. Right now, my oldest son, whose depression was in remission for a good three years or so, is suffering again.

What if, instead of killing time, we could make it? Of course we can't physically stop the clock.
