I've got an Oysterdate precision, but from 1986. I saw NO reason to send it to Rolex when I wanted it serviced, when my local watchmaker could take care of the issue. If a vintage part in your watch is broken, Why would you care if the replacement part is as old as the watch? I needed an hour wheel, and he got an authentic Rolex part, did the work, and It's back on line. I could not care less about replacing an old part with another old part.
