Dress watches: <$1000, <37mm
I'm looking for a dress watch that is under $1000 and is less than 37mm in diameter (Anything over $1000, and I might as well drop an extra $2000 and get a grey-market grey-dialed IWC Pilot 36 which is more than serviceable as a dress watch, or drop an extra $3000 and get a 35mm Cartier Santos. Hence the limit of <$1000). I love the small seconds 40mm Orient Bambino but it's too big for me. Frederique Constant Moonphase is brilliant but again it's too big at some 39/40mm.
Bad quality control. Let's see your pics.
No offense, OP, but if you draw the lines exactly through the enter of the post for the HMS hands and the center of the 6 o'clock index, it's pretty darned close to perfect. It's really hard to tell if your camera is exactly perpendicular to the same post and that can make a difference as well. If the camera isn't nadir (perfectly perpendicular) to the post, then you're trying to connect dots that aren't coplanar and you'll get errors every time.
Is there any quartz have a smooth sweep second hand as automatic?
Joined Nov 28, 2008 · 1,999 Posts The smooth second hand is in some quartz models, like the Precisionist. But if what you're looking for isn't a smooth hand, but a quartz that is indistinguishable from a mechanical, I don't think that exists. You can identify a mechanical by the stuttering second hand, usually between 5 and 10 beats per second (more typically 6-8). I can't think of a quartz that ticks more than once per second, but not completely smoothly.
Will you ever buy 2 exactly the same watches just for different colour dial?
Thankfully I haven’t done it with a watch yet, but many times I’ll even buy an identical version of something just to keep as a “backup” in case I loose or damage my main one. Because in the past whenever that happens, it’s after something’s been discontinued and become impossible to find, lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Does Meteorite Dial really made of Mateorite?
It's rare, but notrare. Most watch dials are made of the Muonionalusta meteorite from Northern Sweden. Pieces of the meteorite are found over a large area and many are several kilograms heavy (the biggest chunk found was over 1000kg!), while a watch dial is only 2 grams or so. Since watch dials are small, you can even use the smaller pieces, which are more numerous and less expansive. Just search ebay for "Muonionalusta" to get an impression how much meteorite jewelry is out there.
