As the Shelburne Planning Commission sprints to finalize its rewrite of the town’s zoning bylaws, it’s time to assess their work and focus on what needs to be fixed. To its credit, the commission has thoroughly updated a zoning code grown more complex over time. It has attempted to balance improving housing opportunities and maintaining environmental protection.
