SAG-AFTRA Members Authorize Video Game Strike
Following a unanimous decision by the SAG-AFTRA National Board to send a strike authorization vote to its members in early September, 98% of voting members voted in favor of a strike authorization on the 2017 Interactive Media Agreement (IMA). Notably, a vote authorizing a strike does not guarantee a work stoppage – rather, it gives the union the ability to call a strike under the IMA as the union may deem necessary.
SAG-AFTRA Members Authorize Strike under the TV/Theatrical (but not the Commercial) Contracts
Earlier this week, SAG-AFTRA members voted to authorize a strike under the SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical Contracts (the "TV/Theatrical Contracts"), if SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers are unable to reach an agreement as they negotiate the TV/Theatrical Contracts. Importantly, this vote DOES NOT necessarily mean that SAG-AFTRA members will strike.

Today, psychedelic products and related therapeutic services are gaining in popularity and making their way into the “mainstream.” As they enter further into the public discourse, you may have seen advertisements for psychedelic products and related therapeutic services. Think Twice Before Putting Your Disclosures Behind a "More Information" Link or an "i" (via Passle)
The Federal Trade Commission has been raising lots of concerns lately about the ways in which advertisers are using (or misusing) online disclosures. Last year, the FTC announced that it planned to revise its business guidance on online disclosures because "some companies are wrongly citing the guides to justify practices that mislead consumers online." The FTC isn't waiting to finalize the new guidance to bring enforcement actions, however.
Meta Reaches Settlement Regarding Housing Ads

The Agreement (as it has been amended over the last two years) was scheduled to expire at the end of 2022, but it will now expire on March 31, 2023. RIP: The Traditional SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract
The end of an era has come. The “traditional” SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract will expire on December 31, 2022, and on January 1, 2023, the “new” SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract, with updated compensation and editing structures, will be the only game in town. Fortunately, SAG-AFTRA and The Joint Policy Committee have issued a set of FAQs regarding the transition from the “traditional” to the “new” SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract (the full set of FAQs may be found here).

No option to install Printer Software Officejet 7612
02-12-2021 04:05 PM I had a printer issue where every time I sent a document to a printer it would try to open a webpage. To remedy this I had to remove the printer and reinstall it including all its associated programs. When reinstalling the software only the drivers, HP Update, Help, ORIS and Update programs are made available to install and not the Printer Software itself which allows me to view the printer and scan documents etc. Downloaded the latest version and still get the same issue.

According to Chowhound, "krab" is a name for imitation crab meat made from pureed and seasoned whitefish that is molded and colored to look and taste like real crab. In a lawsuit against P.F. Chang's, one customer said, however, that when he bought sushi with "krab mix," he assumed that he was getting something that included at least some real crab meat.
Does "100% Grated Parmesan Cheese" Contain Any Other Ingredients? (via Passle)
When I think of some of the iconic products from my childhood, there was the VCR, Pop Rocks candy, and that green tube of Parmesan cheese. Well, after all of these years, the VCR is gone, Pop Rocks were discontinued (though not because of the unfounded rumors that they cause children to explode) and then relaunched, and litigation rages on about what is actually in that green tube.
UN To Ad Industry: Women Are People Too (via Passle)
UN Women Executive Director, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, has issued an open letter to advertisers and their agencies decrying sexism in marketing and urging the industry to do better. The letter cites the following dismal statistics based on research conducted by members of the Unstereotype Alliance: just 3% of women in ads are shown as aspirational or in leadership positions and only 1% are depicted as problem solvers, while men are more than 60% more likely to be shown as smart and capable.
