Hi there. I’m Kathleen Schurman. My husband David and I own Locket’s Meadow Farm Animal Sanctuary, a non-profit 501(c)3 where we’ve cared for hundreds of furry and feathered friends since spring of 2000. I am an animal advocate, vegan, animal communicator, journalist, author, mother and Meemaw to the most amazing grandchildren ever conceived. In early 2005 we founded a successful vegetarian cafe in Hamden, CT, called Duck’s Soup, named after our duck.
