After gaining valuable insights through in-depth research into nutrition science, Dr. Eric Berg underwent a significant personal transformation that inspired him to shift his focus from full-time chiropractic work to educating other healthcare professionals. He even served as an associate professor at Howard University for a period.
In 2006, Dr. Berg published his book, The 7 Principles of Fat Burning, which was later updated in 2019 and re-released as The Healthy Keto Plan, now a bestseller on Amazon. He launched his YouTube channel in 2008, which has since amassed over 18 million subscribers and over 6,000 videos, with over 100 million monthly views. He continues to share his perspectives on healthy eating and various other health-related topics through his channel. Dr. Berg has also developed a course to train Keto Coaches globally, focusing on keto and intermittent fasting.
Dr. Berg's primary objective is to empower individuals to take charge of their health and create healthier lifestyles. His professional history includes working in private chiropractic practice in San Diego, CA, Shreveport, LA, and Alexandria, VA, and serving as the CEO of the Berg Institute of Health & Wellness in Seminole, FL, since 1997.
Dr. Berg's educational background includes earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1988 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, after completing pre-med studies at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside from 1983 to 1985, and Army Reserve service, where he received training in X-ray technology.
He also underwent additional advanced and specialty academic training at the National-Lincoln School of Postgraduate Education, Southern California College of Chiropractic, International Scoliosis Research Center, Risk Management, Louisiana Union of Chiropractic, and Motor Vehicle Collision Injuries, LUCP.
