What was your first job as a journalist?
My first real job as a journalist was covering global Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency adoption. I say real because it was the first time I got paid.

In middle school
How is social media changing news?
Because of social media, news reporting is rapid-fire. People no longer have to wait for the 5 pm news.

Zoe Barnes, House of Cards
What does it mean to be a journalist?
I believe journalists are the eyes and ears of the people, it's our job to let people know what is going on in the world.

Laptop (MacBook), Cellphone, VPN, Mobile Hotspot, Google Docs, social media and a lot of coffee

There are so many great journalists out there, it would be an honor if any of them followed me.
Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist because I wanted to become more involved in the Cryptocurrency space and use my talent that I did have to grow there.

I did not work for a high school newspaper.

Keep at it, find your niche and develop your voice.

What's the best pitch you ever got?
The best pitch I ever received was on writing a piece of how dissidents and whistleblowers use Bitcoin to fund their activities.

I need 1000 words on why people should use my platform, can't pay but it will be great for exposure.

At an event or conference making contacts

I read Coindesk.com and Cointelegraph.com every day
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The most common misperception of my beat is that it requires a lot of technical knowledge to get involved in and that is not true.
