Repositioning the Leader Peptide in Graspetide Biosynthesis
Swapping the ThfA Leader Peptide To Be a Follower Through core peptide engineering, we have previously shown ThfB to be a highly promiscuous graspetide synthetase, enabling the generation of multicyclic peptides, cyclized proteins, and cross-linked protein dimers in cellulo . (50,51) This success in engineering alternative ThfA precursors for ThfB-mediated cyclization inspired us to investigate whether the leader sequence could be moved to a follower.
Repositioning the Leader Peptide in Graspetide Biosynthesis
Introduction Click to copy section linkSection link copied! A diverse array of chemical complexity is biosynthesized within cells. Several classes of biosynthetic pathways exist and generally produce a single target natural product. Ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptides (RiPPs) represent a family of natural products which are inherently encoded for within an organism’s genetic code.

The age of the AI PC is here and Microsoft has loads of new Windows features to prove it. At its annual Build conference, Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, took the wraps off of all sorts of new and improved AI capabilities that are about to find their way onto a new generation of Copilot+ PCs. Want more ChatGPT? You got it. How about a “second brain” that remembers everything you do on your computer? Turns out you’re in luck.
8 New Copilot+ Features That Every Windows User Needs To Know
9 hours ago Very few people are regularly using "much hyped" artificial intelligence (AI) products like ChatGPT, a survey suggests. Researchers surveyed 12,000 people in six countries, including the UK, with only 2% of British respondents saying they use such tools on a daily basis. But the study, from the …
Are AI Gadgets Doomed Now That Humane Is Reportedly Looking for a Buyer?
No matter how you feel about AI gadgets and their usefulness, there’s no doubt that products like the Humane Ai Pin and Rabbit R1 have revitalized interest in new hardware. Reviews for both standalone AI gadgets have been rocky, to say the least. Making matters worse, both Humane and Rabbit have been mired in their own concerning startup issues. Almost two months after the Ai Pin was panned by many tech reviewers, last week Bloomberg reported Humane is looking for a potential buyer.
