Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes! I used to be part of a poetry collective that got prompts from people and typed poems on the spot for them. We were dressed in overalls.
How is social media changing news?
Citizen journalists have access to a greater audience, bringing the stories (particularly in war zones) legacy media doesn't have access to.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
None of the superheroes who double up as journalists, surely there's some conflict of interest reporting the news you create

Reddit, whoops!
Why did you become a journalist?
I like yapping and being yapped at (interviewing and finding out about people's lives).
What's your favorite drink?
Godfather (whisky and amaretto).
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In the forest, hoping to photograph a snake. Barring that, a goth club.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I have a soft spot for Daily Star, because my homie is a journalist there <3
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That it's meaningless gossip. What we consume for entertainment reflects the state of society.
