David Johnson

Family dental practitioner David Johnson, D.D.S., grew up in Michigan’s Kalamazoo County before leaving the region to earn his degree and begin his career. In the late 1980s, he returned to his hometown and began working alongside his father, also a family dentist, at Johnson Family Dentistry in Portage, Michigan. Soon after, David Johnson, D.D.S., assumed control of Johnson Family Dentistry, which he continues to own and operate today.

Currently, Dr. Johnson works with an experienced dental team, including associate dentist Dr. Kelly Yeung, to provide comprehensive preventive care and general, restorative, and cosmetic dental procedures. Featuring state-of-the-art treatment rooms and a modern waiting area, Johnson Family Dentistry provides treatment for everything from mild to serious tooth decay and periodontal disease to temporomandibular joint disorder and uneven or excessive gums.

Outside of the office, Dr. David Johnson advances his technical abilities and background through active involvement in regional and national professional groups, including the Kalamazoo Valley District Dental Society, the Academy of Computerized Dentistry, and the American Dental Association. He also enjoys giving back to his community and has donated his services to the Free Clinic of Kalamazoo and as a member of dental care mission trips to Honduras.
