With just days left in the Democratic trifecta, we must do as much good as possible. Our lack of action so far raises the question: What is the point of having power if we do not use it? In our last days in power, it is our duty to pass Senate Bills 265, 266, 267 and House Bills 4410, 4411, 4412 — the Drive Safe package. Drive Safe legislation would allow noncitizens to obtain Michigan driver's licenses and ID cards without needing proof of U.S. citizenship or legal immigration status.
