Crystal structure of a three‐tetrad, parallel, K+‐stabilized human telomeric G‐quadruplex at 1.35 Å resolution
Abstract The crystal structure of the G-rich human telomeric DNA Tel22 has been determined at 1.35 Å resolution in space group P6. Tel22 forms a non-canonical DNA structure called the G-quadruplex. The space group and unit-cell parameters are comparable to those in the crystal structures with PDB codes 6ip3 (1.40 Å resolution) and 1kf1 (2.15 Å resolution). The G-quadruplexes are highly similar in all of the structures.
Abstract No. 57 Local Biliary Injection of Cisplatin for Chemotherapy Delivery in Patients with Cholangiocarcinoma
Extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma is an aggressive cancer whose incidence is rising worldwide. Mortality for patients with this aggressive disease is from locoregional obstruction of the biliary tree, leading to obstructive jaundice, and preventing patients from tolerating systemic chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or anesthesia’s post-surgical recovery. Percutaneously placed or endoscopically placed biliary stents open the area for biliary drainage, but currently deliver no therapeutic treatments.

SECONDARY IMMUNODEFICIENCY DUE TO GAMING DISORDER
A 29-year-old male presents with 4 months of bilateral leg swelling, chronic cough, lethargy, decreased appetite, and unintentional weight loss. Physical exam was significant for bradycardia, decreased breath sounds, and lower extremity pitting edema with ulcerations. Radiologic evaluation demonstrated bilateral upper lung lobe cavitary lesions with bronchiectasis and anasarca. Sputum was positive for acid fast bacilli, and cultures grew Mycobacterium abscessus. HIV screen was negative.

Detection of EGFR T790M resistance mutation: real-time allele-specific PCR versus Sanger sequencing
Detection of EGFR T790M resistance mutation: real-time allele-specific PCR versus Sanger sequencing Background: Lung cancer is the most common cause of death from cancer worldwide, and 85-90% of lung cancers are non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Presence of driver mutations in epidermal growth cell receptor (EGFR) gene in a subset of NSCLC has led to the use of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI) that inhibit the EGFR signalling pathway.
Frequency and abundance of plasma T790M mutation associated with failure patterns of EGFR-mutant NSCLC treated with tyrosine kinase inhibitors
Background: T790M mutation is a major mechanism for EGFR-TKI failure. However, few studies explored its correlation with failure patterns and response duration partly due to difficulty in re-biopsy. Droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) is able to detect the frequency and abundance of T790M non-invasively in circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA). Methods: 314 patients with advanced or recurrent NSCLC who had progressed during EGFR-TKIs treatment were enrolled prospectively (NCT02418234).
