Novel Filtering Antenna Based on Modified Closed Ring Resonator for 6G Applications
1 Introduction Due to its attractive features of low loss, low system cost, and compact size, RF co-design attempts to combine the capabilities of two microwave components into a single device. In order to decrease its loss and reduce its physical footprint has become more popular with the rapid advancement of modern wireless technologies [1, 2].
Reversal of type 2 diabetes: normalisation of beta cell function in association with decreased pancreas and liver triacylglycerol
Diabetologia October 2011, Volume 54, Issue 10, pp 2506–2514 | Cite as Open Access Article First Online: 09 June 2011 Abstract Aims/hypothesis Type 2 diabetes is regarded as inevitably progressive, with irreversible beta cell failure. The hypothesis was tested that both beta cell failure and insulin resistance can be reversed by dietary restriction of energy intake.

Review: Revisiting the human cholinergic nucleus of the diagonal band of Broca
Although the nucleus of the vertical limb of the diagonal band of Broca (nvlDBB) is the second largest cholinergic nucleus in the basal forebrain, after the nucleus basalis of Meynert, it has not generally been a focus for studies of neurodegenerative disorders. However, the nvlDBB has an important projection to the hippocampus and discrete lesions of the rostral basal forebrain have been shown to disrupt retrieval memory function, a major deficit seen in patients with Lewy body disorders.

Early and locally advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC): ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines for diagnosis, treatment and follow-up
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide, accounting for ∼1.3 million deaths each year. Overall incidence and epidemiology data are summarised in the ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) on ‘metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC)’ [1]. A high proportion of NSCLC patients present with symptoms in advanced disease stage. The aim of lung cancer screening is to reduce lung cancer-related mortality by detecting more patients in earlier—potentially curable—stages.
