Edita Kaye has been active in public relations and is skilled in developing media contacts, writing content such as articles, profiles, and video scripts.
Her three favorite rules for effective public relations are:
Understand your client.
It is important to do a deep dive into your client’s business goals and organization to develop a professional understanding of their work, their clients, their products and services. But beyond that it is also important to understand the values of your client and their business so that you can make those all-important values an integral part of your media campaign.
Narrow your focus.
It is very tempting to jump into a wide variety of media outlets and opportunities, but it is always much more effective to stick to two or three media platforms for maximum impact. By narrowing your media targets you are better able to focus on providing high quality content which goes a long way to helping establish your client as an influencer in their special area of business.
Stay current
Become an expert in your client’s business – not just on what they have done in the past, or what they are currently doing, but what future trends are in their field and how they will be utilizing them. This keeps your client’s news and content fresh, and helps to position them as a leader in their industry.
