I planned most of the trip, so I assure you that the Megabus was never going to be part of it. Not that there’s anything wrong with the Megabus, it’s just that if I have the choice, I will always choose shotgun in my friend’s car. Every part of the road trip had gone perfectly right down to the free lodging with my friend’s grandmother. We only had to put up with the old woman’s occasional mentions of abortion and the Holocaust.
