What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being a journalist essentially means being interested in people and phenomena and sharing that with others through your writing.
What's your favorite social network?
My favourite social network is Twitter, but only in small doses. It can be a great place for gauging general social opinion.
Why did you become a journalist?
Since I was very young, writing has been my central means of expression. I'm also highly curious by nature so journalism is an ideal outlet.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
I feel like I'm very much still an aspiring journalist myself, but I think having a genuine passion for your craft is the key to longevity.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
My favourite publication to read is New Scientist. There's always something new to catch and spark my interest.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
Entertainment journalism is often perceived as needlessly critical. But there's an enormous value in promoting discourse and discussion.
