opinion With its June 30 decision, the Indiana Supreme Court put into effect an abortion ban with few exceptions. This decision will have a negative effect on Hoosiers’ reproductive rights and health care. It also demonstrates a lack of understanding and respect for privacy in the patient-physician relationship. The abortion ban was passed last summer, but due to a legal challenge in court, it has not been enforced.
Ann Lathrop, chief strategy officer for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), joined the IEDC in November 2021 and was appointed to join Governor Eric J. Holcomb’s cabinet in August 2023.
