Mixed bag. Easier access to information is good. Praying on activating emotions and anger by choosing clickbait and not facts - bad.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To be a journalist means to ask the questions no one else does, and to provide the information a society needs to be equal and diverse.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I use text editing tools, publishing tools, social media and recorders.
What's your favorite social network?
Reddit.
Who do you wish followed you?
Followers aren't important, readers are. And then I would say, it's hilarious if Mark Zuckerberg ever read the stuff I wrote about him
Why did you become a journalist?
I am really curious and Ireally like people. Being a journalist is the best of both worlds: meet people, ask questions
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Stories to do with diversity, equality and accessability. Especially universal design, or diversity in the tech business
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Always ask questions.
When's the best time to pitch you?
If you can keep it short and concise: early morning. If not: afternoon
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
Whenever something is "exclusive" and you already knew about it... not so exclusive really. Sales tactic
