Ellen Chang’s Biography

Ellen Chang has been a contributing investing, banking and financial writer for U.S. News & World Report since 2018. In addition to her work for U.S. News, Ms. Chang writes about investments, personal finance and other consumer issues for The Street, a financial news website.

As an expert on consumer debt and strategies for consumer to save money, Ms. Chang has been interviewed about consumer debt and strategies for consumers to save money on several AM radio stations, including KGO in San Francisco and KGMI in Bellingham, Washington. She has also written for Mergermarket, where she covered mergers and acquisitions, debt financing and bankruptcies; and Thomson Reuters and BridgeNews, where she covered the municipal bond market.
