Introduction The purpose of this study is to investigate how motor competency (MC) interventions can help to support young children’s physical development (PD) through the creation of bespoke Schemes of Work (SOWs). These aim to develop both fine motor skills (FMS) and gross motor skills (GMS) alongside core strength and coordination to provide the children with the opportunity to meet their developmental milestones.
