I am a Singapore-based journalist with over 9 years of experience spanning wire services, digital newsrooms, and specialist publications. My expertise lies at the intersection of verification journalism, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and multimedia storytelling across the Asia-Pacific region.
Currently, I report for specialist publications including (Re)in Asia, where I analyze insurance industry trends and policy developments throughout Asia; ACCA's AB Magazine, covering accounting and business trends; and CUHK's China Business Knowledge, where I translate academic research into accessible insights for financial professionals.
Before my current role, I spent over four years at Reuters as a producer of user-generated content, where I verified and produced approximately 150 pieces of eyewitness content annually. My work contributed to Reuters' coverage of major global events including the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the fall of Kabul, and the 2022 Tonga volcano eruption. One of my proudest achievements was a visual investigation establishing a timeline of the 2022 Seoul crowd crush, which won Graphic of the Year at Reuters and received an honorable mention at the Society of Publishers in Asia Awards.
At The Straits Times, I served as an audience growth specialist, managing social media platforms and publishing breaking news, including coverage of Singapore's 2023 Presidential Election. I successfully adapted visual stories for digital platforms, creating Instagram content that achieved over 17,000 likes and promotional campaigns that generated 90,000+ views on Telegram.
My journalism journey began at digital news sites The Online Citizen, Breakfast Network and Mothership.sg. I covered Singapore's 2015 General Elections and 2016 by-election for Mothership.sg and Mashable, where I reported on technology and web culture trends across East and Southeast Asia.
