What does it mean to be a journalist?

Creating media for public consumption with the aim of recording factually events that transpired.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Chrome, Word, Google Drive, all the usual social media, HARO, ProfNet (only in a pinch, their interface sucks)...

Why did you become a journalist?

College

I had a column in my college paper.

My blog, WealthySingleMommy, is my baby.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Be an entrepreneur. Launch a blog/video/podcast enterprise, or working for an organization that is breaking new ground.
