What was your first job as a journalist?
The first was with The Diamond, my college paper. I wore many hats: reporting, writing, layout, copy-editing, and serving as co-chief editor
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes! I actually own two: a 1912 Underwood No5 and a 1960s Smith Corona Super Sterling
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
As a kid I was a huge fan of the Tintin comics. Tintin was always traveling around the world to meet interesting people and solve mysteries
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
When I'm interviewing I have a notepad and pen in hand to take notes and my phone ready to record backup audio so I can double-check quotes
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Probably sipping coffee over a book in a coffee shop after an afternoon at a museum.
