Oh, What A Feeling!
Publishing book №8! Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 3 min read · -- Photo by Author using Adobe Cloud Writing a book is an adventure for anyone. IYKYK! The adventure, inevitably, has its ups and downs. If you have never published a book but are dying to do it, this story is for you. Let the adventure begin. Here are some questions for you to ponder before you launch on the adventure: What is the topic of your book? What is the genre of the book?
Story Nine Hundred And Ninety-Four
Just keep writing. Just keep writing! Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Never Stop Writing · 3 min read · -- Photo by Joshua Hoehne on Unsplash Writing on Medium is like putting a 1,000-piece puzzle together: "You'll never know what you will get from it!" Oh, wait, that is Forest Gump. But seriously, very few individuals on forums like this one have ventured to write so many stories. Have you ever wondered why?
Seven Books In Seven Years
Not for the faint of heart! Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 2 min read · -- Photo by Author I have been fortunate enough to have a supportive wife and family. I say this so you can understand the reasons behind my success. This year, every Saturday, I have gone to my casita, which is the area in our home from where I write my books, and I write. I love it. As a result, I have resolved to write one book a month for the entire 2025 year, each with at least 100 pages of content.
An Author's Page
As viewed by others! Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 3 min read · -- Photo by Ashley West Edwards on Unsplash It can be challenging to write about ourselves sometimes. At times, we have nothing positive to say, which is typical. Too many authors suffer from the pesky "imposter syndrome," which paralyzes their creative thinking. This syndrome is also common! How do we overcome it? Is there a cure?
Reviews On Books
It's more challenging than you may think! Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 2 min read · -- Photo by Jonas Leupe on Unsplash Nowadays, everyone has a cellphone, meaning anyone can write a review. But as you will see, that is far from true. Writing books has been my passion ever since I could remember. By age 54, seven pesky projects have been completed, printed, and sold on Amazon. One of them, in particular, has done exceptionally well in the selling department.
Ideas On Publishing Your Books
Anyone can do it! Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 2 min read · -- Photo Created By Author Using Adobe Creative Several years ago, I wrote my first book through a publishing company that charged me a lot of money to publish. Although unhappy with its performance, I reluctantly wrote two other books for the same publishing house. It was a disaster! I spent thousands of dollars between these three books on editing, marketing, and publication fees.
What is your views/read ratio?
I just found mine out! Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 2 min read · -- Photo of Author’s Stats The weirdest thing just happened to me. In January, I posted only about ten stories. By all accounts, I should not have over 1,000 views, let alone 315 reads. Right? Well, wrong! I have finally realized what so many other authors have been saying for years: quality over quantity.
The Book is Selling Like Hotcakes
Get your copy today! Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 2 min read · -- Photo by Author You will love The Law of Supernatural if you like true crime stories. In case you did not know, my new book in a series has been nominated as №1 New Release on Amazon — and the feeling is fantastic. The book's idea comes from twenty years of public service. The protagonists are seven former clients who all faced the most difficult situations but somehow overcame them. It’s a thriller.
Help Me Spread The News
A new book in a new series of true crime stories! Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 2 min read · -- Photo Created by Author Many authors on these forums should know the feeling of publishing a new book. Although it is not the author’s first book, it is his first in a popular genre: true crime stories. These stories are not made up but are firsthand experiences narrated from the perspective of a criminal defense lawyer handling the cases.
For The First Time
My responses have surpassed my stories… Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 2 min read · -- Photo by Author The picture depicts my wall of statistical wonders, not some random dude’s stories copied and pasted — but my blood, sweat, and tears shown on this statistical wall. No, I cannot believe it either—I am almost done publishing 900 stories here on Medium! I am five stories short. Oh, wait, four since I wrote this one. Who would have thought?
Help A Fellow Writer
Would you? Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 2 min read · -- Photo by engin akyurt on Unsplash Yes, I am extending my hand, asking for your help! Like you have done so many times, I ask for your assistance. You may say, wait, it’s election day, right? I know! But hear me out… Several of my stories have received over 1,000 claps, and that’s so cool! I have one story, though, that needs your help.
Writing About Happy Thoughts
Fast. Simple. Cheap! Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 3 min read · -- Photo by Jem Sahagun on Unsplash By the looks of it, you would not think the pictures show a happy person — would you?
How Many Times A Day Do You Pray?
I have some clients that pray at least five times… Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 4 min read · -- Photo by Joel Heard on Unsplash In this picture, how many of them are praying? You can see that most of them look elsewhere rather than pray. Can you see it? That is because, for some, prayers are mandatory — at least five times a day! Prayer is an obligatory religious duty for some people and is considered the second pillar of their religion.
Compound Interest - How Does It Affect Your Writing
Or does it? Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 3 min read · -- Photo by Patrick Robert Doyle on Unsplash Interest rates are up the roof nowadays. Have you noticed them? About four years ago, you could borrow $40,000 and pay approximately $5,000 to borrow that kind of money. Today, if you want to borrow the same, you would pay between $18,000 and $38,000 depending on how long you want to repay it. Ouch! You may be asking: how does he know?
How To Make $1,000,000 From Writing!
Deliver the letter, the faster, the better… Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 3 min read · -- Photo by Jp Valery on Unsplash Don’t worry; those were fake bills! I think 😳 But if you have stopped — to read this story — well, let me say that I speak from experience. Yes, I was a millionaire once upon a time, but it wasn’t from writing but from arguing. My law career had taken me very far, but I blew it.
Find A Place Of Solace - With Someone That You Love!
It makes all the difference in the world… Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 3 min read · -- Photo by Author This is the family’s favorite place in the 3,900-square-foot house! Here, the whole family watches movies, eats, sleeps, does homework, shores, works, and talks about life — we live around this couch! Literally. Oh, and when visitors come, that is where they land — eventually. It is a cozy, warm place — a place of solace. You should come to a visit sometime.
I Felt Like Tacos Tonight - No Worries, Says My Wife!
I’ll give you tacos… Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 3 min read · -- Photo by Author Have you ever heard the famous phrase, “Life is like a box of chocolates?” If you have, you know where this is going. If you have not, let me say politely: get a life! How could you have not watched the most exciting movie of all time — Forest Gump — where Tom Hanks played his role masterfully? You know I am joking, right? What does tacos have to do with life?
Never Stop Writing
How often? Never!!! Dr. E.R. Báez · Follow Published in Write A Catalyst · 3 min read · -- Photo by Author Yes, it is no surprise that many Medium authors write daily! This publication has become so popular because people are writing, and that’s good. Two days ago, I decided to write exclusively for this publication. Two articles later, seven new followers have emerged.
The Burden Of Proof In A Criminal Defense Case Explained With This Chart!!!
The reason that my clients have heard not-guilty so many times! The burden of proof (BOP) is exceptionally high for the state or government to prove in a criminal case — beyond a reasonable doubt — BRD! And defense attorneys must remember this chart when presenting their client cases before juries. Inevitably, the judge asks the jury in every criminal case to find the defendant guilty BRD.
You Only Had One Job
You Only Had One Job No, this post is not about Kamala Harris, the potential President of the United States, but about the person who wrote the poster behind her. Could you imagine her campaign's conversation with whoever the person that wrote(Lousiana) instead of (Louisiana)? Wait, is that not how you spell it?
The One Person I Should Emulate On Medium
It's the only person I don’t want to! By now, everyone knows Remi, the mysterious girl from the Philippines who has become a Medium sensation. Although not a Medium member, she has acquired over 182K (thousand) followers, which is impressive! Why is she so successful? Why are so many people reading her stories? • Because she is an influencer? (from another social media platform) • It must be her expertise on the matter.
Working On My Second Scholastic Book - Almost One Year And Counting - Fifth Book Overall…
Working On My Second Scholastic Book — Almost One Year And Counting — Fifth Book Overall… As promised, I am almost done with my new upcoming book: This has been more difficult than anticipated because it requires a lot of research. But, I love it… In a previous article, I wrote about inaccurate writings, mainly regarding books of antiquity. My fascination—says my daughter as she leaves my casita—has led to two of these infamous scholastic creations.
The Last Story You May Want To Read
The Last Story You May Want To Read This is not rocket science or difficult. But after so many years of seeing people doing it, I had to do something about it! • People all over the world fall for this trick • And they do not understand the ramifications of doing it So, why does it happen? Why do people do it time and again?
The Last Thing You Need When You Get Arrested
The Last Thing You Need When You Get Arrested After almost twenty years of defending individuals, I am now offering you, the reader, some free legal advice. Because I care about my readers, I highly advise anyone who reads this article to share the information with people who may need it. • And even your enemies Yes, I said it! Your enemies may benefit from this information. Now you know this must be precious information I am about to give.
I Wrote About Typewriters - Twice In One Month - And If You Give Me 30 Seconds, You Can Read All About It Here!
But I was not using one — duh!!!! At some point, there were — apparently — many brands of typewriters! You can review all the brands on the website I will post. I bet that none of the CEOs of these typewriting companies knew what was about to happen to them! They were going to become obsolete — before we all used them! Google said this: “Typewriters became less popular in the 1980s with the rise of personal computers and word processing software.
Real Politics In A Fallen World
According to some sources: “The Golden State is where Harris started the trajectory that led to her barrier-breaking election as the nation’s first Black, Asian American, and female vice president. It’s where she shaped her political instincts.” And it’s where she first faced critiques that follow her today.
Response To An Inncaurate Article From Lessons From History!
Not everything you read here on Medium is accurate or true. The reader must be aware, even if it comes from well-known authors or publications! This article will uncover a supposed historian with some fallacies inculcated into his article. We will call this phenomenon his subjective biases.
Three Articles - Three Thousand Claps And Counting!!!
Three Articles — Three Thousand Claps And Counting!!! Yes, I know. We don’t use typewriters to write here on Medium. If it were so, I don’t think I would have written almost 800 articles! Or, maybe I would have, but my fingers would be seriously impacted — with so much pain — by muscle memory. • Who can forget the sound • The clicking of the typewriter
Once Again, Puerto Rico Has A Category-One Hurricane Going Through It, But I Was Clueless About This!
Once Again, Puerto Rico Has A Category-One Hurricane Going Through It, But I Was Clueless About This! That is a picture of Hurricane Ernesto passing through my favorite island. This was also the picture shown today on Google! As you can see, my island was engulfed by this monster Hurricane. Then, I remember how many of these Hurricanes I have gone through in my life. Too many to count…I digress. The picture of Lieutenant Dan shows how I reacted (no pun intended) when I heard about the news again.
My New Experient On Write A Catalyst - Read Every Story Today!!!
My New Experient On Write A Catalyst — Read Every Story Today!!! Have you tried doing this? If you do, it will pay great dividends… But, do not only peruse the article; read and comment on it. We are all trying to succeed in Medium, particularly in this publication. • We must ask ourselves — what is the secret sauce?
I Must Continue Writing- So I Do Not Fall Off The First Page On This Publication…
And any publications, for that matter!!! Yes, that is me in the picture playing bass. Believe me, the picture and this story are relevant — coupled with the writing. Writing is an art — just like playing any musical instrument — that must be fostered for posterity if you want to improve! You will never get any good at playing unless you practice. The same is true here on Medium — particularly in this publication! No one will improve their placement unless they keep writing continually.
Fantastic Plates For Your Visual Acuity
If you are thinking about guacamole, you are correct if you acquiesce that this one was delicious!!! • Oh, and yes, those are flour tortillas! Yes, if you guessed that, this was a beet salad with aguacate spread and hem seeds! This was a mouth explosion of different flavors from beginning to end. And this was only the second course for the day. The chef hit us with this ginger broth palate changer. Although it appears somehow weird, the flavors were on point.
What Does It Take To Win A Criminal Trial?
The answer may surprise you! I still remember my first criminal defense trial almost twenty years ago! For the record, I had three civil trials before my first criminal defense, but they were less exciting than criminal defense ones.
58 Claps Is All I Need
Would You Help Me? Once again, I am asking for your help! Although I asked for help two days ago, it did not work! One story to get ONLY 58 more claps to make it to the 1,000 Club! I am unsure if people are not just willing to help or if the message is not getting disseminated as before on this platform. But, since I know that some authors understand the process, I decided to post a second story about the same issues.
How I Feel About Boxing - You Should Share The Same Feelings
How I Feel About Boxing — You Should Share The Same Feelings I know, I know, enough about this dude — Imane Khelif. Here is my original article — I digress!!! It was 1989, and I was just accepted as a soldier after finishing my Basic Training and AIT (Advance Individual Training), where I was shipped to Alaska. As you can imagine, there was NOTHING to do other than go to the gym. So, I trained, and I trained hard.
As A Writer On Medium - You Must Read Other Stories Too!
The idea behind the FOM program Imagine a night lamp — book one — as you read other author’s stories! Well, perhaps not here on Medium, but you get the gist. This is a daily habit I have acquired after reading other author’s perspectives on growth. To advance, you must spend time reading other people’s stories. To advance, you must read the Daily Digest. To advance, you must read the Medium Blog.
The Casita - A Place Of Solace
Every morning, I start my day by going to my casita to spend time with the Lord, with a cup of Coffee and a Bible — in hand. Today, I wanted you to see what I see! You must sit in front of my chair to appreciate its beauty. Most days, the view is astonishing, with marvelous dawns and colorful skies — but today, it was overshadowed. Oh yeah, I have a wooden deer in front of my window! Don’t we all? The casita is where I rehearse before worship nights, where we serve as part of the Worship Team.
Help Me Get Another 1,000 Claps Article
Help Me Get Another 1,000 Claps Article Many people collect wine corks! Perhaps you are one of them! I had no idea, but some even buy them — without the wine — to start collections. Well, not me. I buy and enjoy the wine with my wife, but I always throw the wine cork away. I never thought about starting a collection.
Eight Days Into The Month - Almost There As Far As Earnings Are Concerned
Eight Days Into The Month — Almost There As Far As Earnings Are Concerned Three days ago, there was much buzz about the new partner program and its potential impact on the entire platform. Many wrote articles about it, including this one: Yes, the same picture was used in both articles, but you already know that is how I roll — so please do not be surprised! Within the new changes: • There will be a $10 minimum payout threshold.
The Federal Court System - Checks & Balances Incorporated By Reference!
The federal court system is portrayed as the epitome of law and justice. I know this firsthand because I spend a significant amount of time in it defending individuals. For the most part… The good and bad guys constantly struggle to find a middle ground in the name of justice! I also know this personally because I am involved on one side of the coin, helping to meet in the middle…(proffer, PC determination, detention hearings, 5k, etc.), all part of the day's work.
Should Your Writing Creativity Ever Come To An End?
Should Your Writing Creativity Ever Come To An End? Oh yeah, we do not use typewriters anymore — do we? But the concept of creative writing is expressed by the magnificent keyboard display that the old faithful possessed! • The turning of the wheel for the next line • The skillfulness of the writers • The numerous times the pages were crumbled • And the list goes on… And, although we no longer use typewriters, we undoubtedly have improved our creativity by leaps and bounds.
The Vocative Names Of God!
Last night, I was watching a Christian movie with my wife. The essence of the film was presented by an older gentleman who had dreams and would send letters to people about those dreams. What prompted this exposition was that the old man would call God "Páppa!" not in the way that we do in the United States when we call God "Father," but in a "vocative" way! The older man used the most beautiful sound-Páppa. His admiration for his creator gave him this vocative calling.
The Bible Explains Itself Between Testaments
Taking time to study the scriptures is essential for spiritual growth, but many only study the Bible- and do not live by its teachings! "You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life." This was Jesus talking to the religious leaders of His time. They knew the scriptures-which is why He quoted them-but they did not live them.
The Thousand (Something) Club
How do we get there? • Some may want a fortune • Some may wish to have fame • Some may want to be recognized • But all are aiming to get somewhere! Most of us here on Medium are striving to get somewhere. Whether you want 1,000 claps, comments, or followers, the formula appears to be the same! In a prior post, I briefly explain my take on this subject: However, this post aims to give you more empirical evidence of how you may succeed as a writer on Medium.
The Marquis Who's Who!
I have been honored and blessed by the inclusion in this prestigious organization for the 2024-2025 publication.
If We Lived In A World Without Water
You may have heard about the 2024 opening games of the Olympics. Here is their pseudo-apology: This is NOT an apology at all; more like, well, we did it, so it worked! If you haven't, you are not missing much - except debauchery - and the supposed inclusivity France wanted us to swallow. But, we (Christians) are (according to them) supposed to be inclusive? Right?
God Cannot Be Mocked
Not a member, read the story here! The pictures attempt to depict the same portrait: Jesus' Last Supper with His apostles. The top picture reflects men dressed as women (drag queens) attempting to imitate the Last Supper at the Olympic games. The bottom pictures depict Leonardo da Vinci's mural painting of the same event - but with more class and respect. This, of course, is my own opinion.
July readership - not too shabby!
In only two months, my readership has improved! From 30 to 60 From 100 to 300+ But I have seen other authors have much bigger charts - and I aim for it! I learned this from the military. If you aim higher than you intended, the next reward will come easier: To make E5 (the rank of sergeant), you must aim for E7 (the rank of sergeant first class), and it will happen. Greatness comes to those who persevere.
The End Of Our Vacation
Family is valuable and time is the most costly commodity that we posses! It makes sense, then, to spend as much time with your family as possible. Does it not? After all, we are here on this earth for a limited time... But many, go about their lives thinking about neither: family nor time! Do you know people like this? I know I used to be like that, until now. I digress. Building an empire takes time, dedication and commitment.
All Creation Sings
Even the waves obey Him As our vacation is coming to an end, I wanted to share a little bit of heaven with my readers! This is our beautiful ocean view - which they cleared the last day of our vacation - there is no seaweed on the ocean floor. All you see is the beautiful clear blue ocean and the skies that complements it. It all makes me think - there is got to be a Creator! All these beauty could not have created itself - or could it? How does nothing form something?
