In my experience, adopting new AI tools always comes with a learning curve, but the real challenges include figuring out how they fit into our existing design process, when to trust their output, and how to help an entire team use them consistently. This has been the focus of my design team for the past few months. We realized that adopting and integrating AI into our workflow would only work if people learned from and supported one another.

Residual-based adaptive GMsFEM for high-contrast elliptic problems repeatedly evaluates local weighted $H^{-1}$ indicators on every coarse neighborhood, making indicator evaluation a recurring cost in repeated-query settings. We introduce a non-intrusive Gaussian-process (GP) surrogate for the indicator scores used in Dörfler marking.
The case against intuitive design in enterprise software
As a UX designer, one of the most common pieces of feedback I’ve heard is, “Can we make this more intuitive?” It’s become a design goal that nobody questions. We often assume it’s the end goal for every user experience. After all, if a product is intuitive, users should be able to pick it up instantly with little effort. Throughout my experience designing for enterprise software, I’ve questioned whether intuitive should always be the goal.

GUI design is a fundamental aspect of creating user-friendly digital products. It’s all about designing an engaging, intuitive visual interface that lets users interact with the product with ease.
Temporal Trends in Intracavernosal Injection Therapy and Penile Prosthesis Implantation in the Era of Phosphodiesterase-5 Inhibitors for Erectile Dysfunction in Australia.
Phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors (PDE5-Is) transformed erectile dysfunction (ED) management as first-line therapy; nonetheless, many patients require second- and third-line options due to inadequate response, side effects, or contraindications. This article evaluates temporal trends in intracavernosal injection (ICI) therapy and penile prosthesis implantation (PPI) in Australia since PDE5-Is introduction. MBS item numbers 37415 (ICI), and 37429/37426 (PPI) from 1998 to 2024 were analysed.
AI made design faster, but did it make it less intentional?
AI has made it incredibly easy to go from an idea to something tangible. What used to take hours of wireframing, iteration, and prototyping can now happen in minutes. Tools like Figma Make have made it possible to explore multiple directions, generate polished UI, and even create working prototypes with very little effort. What’s interesting is that while the amount of design output has increased dramatically, the quality of product thinking hasn’t necessarily kept pace.
Do Ultrasound Measures of Bladder Neck Location and Movement During Pelvic Floor Contraction or Straining Relate to Bladder Neck Support During Voiding?
1 Introduction Modified support of the pelvic structures, including that of bladder neck, constitutes an important feature in female pelvic health. Although its role in prolapse and incontinence is well-studied, the role in voiding and voiding dysfunction (VD) has received less attention. VD refers to an abnormally slow and/or incomplete micturition [1] and often occurs alongside other disorders [2], with 62% of women with pelvic floor dysfunction reporting VD symptoms [3].

Optimizing cylinder selection in inflatable penile prosthesis surgery: a narrative review
Abstract There have been considerable advances in our scientific knowledge, surgical techniques and technological innovation for modern inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) implants over the past 50 years. Four major device companies have successfully manufactured and marketed IPP devices worldwide, and these devices have pre-determined cylinder sizes and unique properties.
Post-Marketing Study on Efficacy, Tolerability and Safety of Two Generations of the Novoglan Device for Conservative Treatment of Adult Phimosis
1 Introduction Phimosis is characterised by stenosis of the prepuce, rendering it tight or unable to be retracted over the glans penis. Although it may be physiological in infants and children, resolving at around the age of 10, phimosis can persist into adulthood in uncircumcised men, particularly in association with balanitis or lichen sclerosus (previously known as balanitis xerotica obliterans) [1, 2].
UI patterns for async workflows, background jobs, and data pipelines
As humans, we are wired to fear the unknown. When we can’t see what’s happening or how long something will take, our minds suddenly default to the worst-case scenario. It’s the same instinct that makes people afraid of the dark or anxious when waiting for test results. This same sense of uncertainty can be triggered in software products.
From RGB to Lab: Addressing Color Artifacts in AI Image Compositing
Introduction replacement is a staple of image editing, achieving production-grade results remains a significant challenge for developers. Many existing tools work like “black boxes,” which means we have little control over the balance between quality and speed needed for a real application. I ran into these difficulties while building VividFlow. The project is mainly focused on Image-to-Video generation, but it also provides a feature for users to swap backgrounds using AI prompts.
How many times have you deleted one thing while using a product, only to realize five other things suddenly broke? Or made a small change that caused something else to stop working, only to discover it hours later, because the product never told you? This is the experience for many users of today’s software. Every product is a network of files, rules, automations, and relationships.
UX for reversible actions: A decision framework for designing with recovery in mind
A few weeks ago, I was juggling multiple projects at once, switching between files and responding to messages, when I accidentally hit “Send” halfway through drafting an email. My heart dropped initially, but then a wave of relief hit as an “Undo” button appeared. Whether it’s sending a half-written email or deleting an important file that you’ve spent weeks working on, mistakes like these are universal. It’s one of the most relatable experiences on the internet.
Comment on: reservoir migration in inflatable penile prostheses: a systematic review and development of a clinical decision algorithm - International Journal of Impotence Research
The modern inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) has been around for more than fifty years, and there have been considerable advances in surgical techniques to optimise the clinical outcomes [1]. Reservoir placement continues to pose a considerable surgical challenge for surgeons who perform a penoscrotal approach due to its blind placement. In contrast, surgeons who utilise an infrapubic approach can place the reservoir under direct vision.

Eligible employees can take up to 16 weeks of paid leave under the Government-Paid Maternity Leave (GPML) scheme, ensuring both income support and job security during this important stage of life.
How to make UX initiatives matter to PMs
As UX designers, our top priority is to advocate for our users by suggesting improvements that can have an impact on their user experience and the product’s success. Things like reducing friction, increasing engagement, and increasing delight for our users. But even when UX initiatives are backed by research and insights, they often struggle to find a place on the product roadmap. The challenge isn’t that the initiatives lack value; it’s a matter of alignment.

Name Email Phone Dubai’s appeal lies in its modern lifestyle, world-class infrastructure, and international community.
How the full-stack product lead is changing the industry
Have you ever heard of three-in-a-box? Early in my career, I was introduced to this collaborative framework. It’s a model where product, design, and engineering break down silos and work closely together to align on goals. This level of transparency helps teams build towards a shared vision by incorporating each other’s perspectives throughout the development process. The result is increased efficiency and more well-rounded solutions overall. Today, however, the product space is evolving.
Demo I've been documenting my journey on Instagram, you can follow along at brandsight.ai. Hey, my name's Eric. My latest project, BrandSight, started because I noticed something big was changing. With AI chatbots giving instant answers, the old game of search is over. Businesses now have a new problem: how do you get cited by AI? That's what inspired me to build a tool to solve it. Kiro was a total game-changer.
Stop writing PRDs for AI — start using prompt sets instead - LogRocket Blog
UX designers frequently work in ambiguous spaces, most notably the discovery phase. We collaborate closely with product managers to identify new problems, understand users’ goals and frustrations, and strategically develop solutions to address their needs. However, the best solutions aren’t always straightforward, and with AI being embedded in every new product and feature, it makes things a bit more challenging. Just as we get comfortable using AI, something changes or evolves.
Cost Of Living And Visas

The country provides high-quality healthcare, efficient public transport, and safe communities, making it an attractive destination for long-term stays.
I've designed AI assistants — Here's what actually works - LogRocket Blog
Less than three years ago, OpenAI stunned the world with the next-generation technology of its generative AI model ChatGPT. Seemingly overnight, millions of people, from consumers to large enterprises, began using it to summarize articles, draft emails, brainstorming ideas, and accelerate their work. It became a practical, smart tool that could take care of tedious tasks and help us increase our productivity. That’s why AI assistants are quickly becoming central to product experiences.
Designing AI products that work for both users and the enterprise
Technology has repeatedly revolutionized the way the world works, from Alexander Graham Bell’s invention of the telephone in 1876, to the launch of Apple’s first iPhone in 2007, to the AI boom of the last decade. Now, as AI enters the mainstream, companies are racing to adopt it in both their own offerings and internal tools to boost their teams’ efficiency and productivity. Those who opt out risk being left behind in the next great transformation.

Scene Understanding in Action: Real-World Validation of Multimodal AI Integration
of this series on multimodal AI systems, we’ve moved from a broad overview into the technical details that drive the architecture. In the first article,“Beyond Model Stacking: The Architecture Principles That Make Multimodal AI Systems Work,” I laid the foundation by showing how layered, modular design helps break complex problems into manageable parts.
I designed by committee — and here’s what went wrong - LogRocket Blog
There’s a saying in the design world — “A camel is a horse designed by a committee.” A horse is elegant. Every part of their body has a purpose — built for speed, agility, and balance. A camel feels more like a compromise of decisions. While it’s suited for a different environment, it has awkward proportions, large humps, and is strange to the eye if you’re used to the sleekness of a horse. It’s functional, but not necessarily beautiful.
I’ve designed with data — here’s what we’re getting wrong - LogRocket Blog
UX design is often assumed to be a purely creative job, lumped together with visual disciplines like branding or illustration. But if you’ve spent any time in the field, you know the job is more than aesthetics. At its core, UX design is about problem-solving. It sits at the intersection of psychology, creativity, and systematic thinking. Designing thoughtful user experiences can involve hours of user interviews, synthesizing research data, mapping complex user journeys, and iterating on user flows.
Four AI Minds in Concert: A Deep Dive into Multimodal AI Fusion
In my previous article, I explored the architectural foundations of the VisionScout multimodal AI system, tracing its evolution from a simple object detection model into a modular framework. There, I highlighted how careful layering, module boundaries, and coordination strategies can break down complex multimodal tasks into manageable components. But a clear architecture is just the blueprint.
Design is being devalued — and we’re letting it happen - LogRocket Blog
Design is becoming faster and cheaper thanks to templates, no-code tools, and AI. But at a steep cost. As businesses prioritize efficiency, design is being treated as a commodity — quick, standardized, and replicable. Like a drive-thru order. This shift strips design of its strategic value, turning it from a problem-solving discipline into a task-based service that’s easy to overlook. We live in an age of instant everything. Messages are sent in seconds. Groceries arrive within hours.
Beyond Model Stacking: The Architecture Principles That Make Multimodal AI Systems Work
While rewatching Iron Man, I found myself captivated by how deeply JARVIS could understand a scene. It wasn’t just recognizing objects, it understood context and described the scene in natural language: “This is a busy intersection where pedestrians are waiting to cross, and traffic is flowing smoothly.” That moment sparked a deeper question: could AI ever truly understand what’s happening in a scene — the way humans intuitively do? That idea became clearer after I finished building PawMatchAI.
Can I Get Medical Insurance For Visit Visa In Dubai
Yes, you can get medical insurance for a visit visa in Dubai, and in fact, it is mandatory. All visitors to Dubai are required to have valid medical insurance in order to enter and stay in the country, regardless of the purpose or duration of their visit. Name Email Phone Whether traveling for tourism, business, or to visit family, securing medical insurance is a necessary step in the visa process.
Design debt is slowing you down — even if you don’t see it yet - LogRocket Blog
When innovation meets opportunity, speed to market becomes everything. You’ve identified a unique solution to a real problem, uncovered a gap in the market, or tapped into an emerging user need. Whether you’re an early-stage startup building something new or a growth team riding a trend or platform shift, launching fast often wins over waiting for perfection.

These virtual healthcare platforms allow you to consult doctors, receive diagnoses, manage prescriptions, and even access mental health support—all without visiting a clinic in person. It’s a fast, convenient solution for expats seeking quality care from the comfort of home.
How design specialties can work against your career
When generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Midjourney began gaining attention, many designers got nervous. Was AI going to take over our jobs? UI specialists, in particular, felt the pressure. Designers who built their careers crafting pixel-perfect interfaces were now being compared to AI systems that could do the same in seconds. What once felt like a competitive edge — deep specialization — suddenly looked like a liability.
How to pick your battles as a designer
If you look at some of the top companies in the world — Apple, Airbnb, IBM, Netflix — what do they all have in common? They are prime examples of design-led companies. Being design-led means more than creating visually aesthetic UIs or hiring design leadership. It means weaving design and user experience into every department, so that experience drives decision-making. Yes, it starts at the top, but it must trickle down.
Why some designers stay stuck at mid-level — And the truth about design titles - LogRocket Blog
TL;DR — I thought doing great work was enough to get promoted. It wasn’t. This is what I learned about visibility, value, and taking control. At my first job as a UX designer, I was promoted from associate to mid-level in about a year and a half. I had worked closely on a project with my former team lead, who eventually moved on to a new opportunity. I was ready to step up, lead design for the project, and grow into a senior designer. Over time, my skills improved significantly.
Applying the UX honeycomb for a modern website
UX is more than good design. It’s how products create value for users. At its core, UX helps teams build products that are useful, usable, and meaningful — so users can accomplish what they need without frustration or friction. The UX honeycomb is a foundational framework in product design. It breaks the user experience into seven key facets: useful, usable, desirable, findable, accessible, credible, and valuable.
Dynamic inflatable penile prosthesis (DIPP) with the enhanced Rigicon Infla10® penile implant: a narrative review - International Journal of Impotence Research

What is glassmorphism? How to create glassmorphic designs
In this article we’ll take a look at glassmorphism, one of the most popular UI design trends. You’ll learn what glassmorphism is, how it came about, how to create the effect, and when you should use it (if ever!). Editor’s note: This article was updated by Daniel Schwarz on 18 April 2025 to include fresh examples of glassmorphism’s use in modern design contexts, updated commentary on real-world adoption, and expanded practical guidance on how to create glassmorphic effects. What is glassmorphism?
Skeleton loading screen design — How to improve perceived performance - LogRocket Blog
A skeleton loading screen is a popular UI design technique that effectively indicates the loading state by mimicking the final UI structure with animated visual placeholders. Unlike preloader animations and progress bars, skeleton loading screens improve perceived performance well since users can feel how data segments will appear on the screen even though they are not yet loaded.
The Art of Hybrid Architectures
In my previous article, I discussed how morphological feature extractors mimic the way biological experts visually assess images. time, I want to go a step further and explore a new question: Can different architectures complement each other to build an AI that “sees” like an expert? While building a high accuracy visual recognition model, I ran into a key challenge: How do we get AI to not just “see” an image, but actually understand the features that matter?
Aligning stakeholders with a design kick-off meeting
One of the biggest reasons I pursued a career in design was the satisfaction of seeing my work come to life and impact real people. There’s something incredibly rewarding about designing thoughtful, usable, and aesthetically pleasing products — knowing they help someone complete a task more efficiently or improve their overall experience. But not every project turns out the way we expect. I’ve worked on features that, once shipped, didn’t gain much traction.
From Fuzzy to Precise: How a Morphological Feature Extractor Enhances AI’s Recognition Capabilities
One day while taking a walk, I saw a fluffy white puppy and wondered, Is that a Bichon Frise or a Maltese? No matter how closely I looked, they seemed almost identical. Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes, Shiba Inus and Akitas, I always found myself second-guessing. How do professional veterinarians and researchers spot the differences at a glance? What are they focusing on? 🤔 This question kept coming back to me while developing PawMatchAI.
Progressive disclosure in UX design: Types and use cases
What is progressive disclosure? Progressive disclosure is a UX design technique that reduces users’ cognitive load by gradually revealing information as needed. It’s commonly used in product design to simplify complex content or break down large amounts of information into digestible bits. In this article, we’ll explore when and where to use progressive disclosure, techniques for implementing it, and best practices for using it effectively.
