SEO vs affiliate programs, follow vs nofollow links
Posts: 115 Location: Trapper Creek, AK (3a) I remember listening to a podcast a while back where Paul mentioned that something people could do to promote stuff they like would be to create a blog and link to those things. By doing this the page rank of the linked article (or whatever) would be boosted. I figured that would be something easy enough to do, and while I was at it maybe I could throw in some affiliate links to help pay for the hosting.
Marketing: My 100 Things
gardener Posts: 1292 Location: Okanogan Highlands, Washington One of those things Paul says a lot (about Kickstarter launches, or marketing products, or any project where the goal is the result, not necessarily the method) is: "Try 100 things. Maybe 2 of those will work. But you never know in advance which two." The implication is that if you just try 2 or 3 things, try not to be surprised if they don't instantly achieve your desired result.
Heat for Dummies Flow-chart: Function--heating; which cool gadget should I actually use?
posted 6 years ago Number of slices to send: Optional 'thank-you' note: Joshua Myrvaagnes wrote:OK here's my dummy comments. Some may not be relevant, but most I think would make this stronger. I'm separating out our quotes, it was getting to be a lot! Erica Wisner wrote:OK, I got it down to a page. Heating Cheat Sheet: 1) Is heat needed? how about "is creating more heat needed, vs. tapping into already-existing heat?"? I think that still gets confusing. Is heat even necessary?

We had a small mountain of barrels and I'm pretty sure we could have used a few more this year. How many barrels did we start with this year? Whatever it is, we should probably triple that for next year. And maybe build up an inventory of lots of different sizes. It seems we went through a lot of fire brick.

looking for pics/video of winter chicken coops
posted 9 years ago 1 Number of slices to send: Optional 'thank-you' note: Our chicken setup is fairly static, but the chickens use it differently in summer and winter. If this would fit your idea, or if you want pictures of it for a conventional contrast, we're up for it. It belongs to my in-laws, so I just help with barn chores occasionally. Their main coop is insulated, they always have access to outdoors, and to the covered feed and 'play' areas.
