Greene Family Camp’s Erin Mason: A visit like no other
In mid-February, I participated in a mission with the Foundation for Jewish Camp along with 20 other camp directors from different camping systems and movements. This trip was unlike any other time I have visited Israel. I visited Israel for the first time during summer 1993 with Garin Greene. I was 16 years old, and it was the next step in my GFC journey. I remember hearing about people who got off the plane and kissed the ground upon their first time visiting Israel. Sure enough, we did the same.

7 Subtle Destructive Things That Happen When You Avoid Awkward Conversations With Your Partner
It can happen suddenly. You wake up on a frosty morning, and there’s something different about your partner. They’re a little less affectionate, offering staccato responses, smiling and interacting less. You ask what’s wrong and receive a cool-sounding, “Nothing,” in response. You ask if they’re okay, and hear a short, “I’m fine." Other times, tension in a relationship can develop gradually, like a thick fog rolling in over a bridge of days, weeks, or months … (please, not years!).
The Counterintuive Thing You Must Stop Avoiding In Order To Be Truly Happy
Christina was considered very accident-prone when she was a little girl. She scratched herself climbing trees, scraped her knees roller skating, bruised her body in gymnastics, and even need stitches from a cut from a wayward hockey stick. Her father grew so weary of her endless list of playground battle scars, he equipped her in every kind of safety garb imaginable — helmet, knee and elbow pads, shin guards, and padded gloves. She was so accessorized she could barely move.
4 Ways To Find Your Way When You're Feeling Lost
Are you feeling lost in life? Years ago, before GPS was automatically connected to our everyday, handheld devices, I found myself (more than once!) lost in a foreign city, wandering narrow streets aimlessly, going blocks out of my way to figure out where I was on a map. I’m sorry to say, I have absolutely no sense of direction.
Men Aren't Trash & Women Aren't Crazy — How Stereotypes Kill Our Chances At Happiness
The world of romantic relationships can be fraught with mixed messages due to society's highly gendered expectations of men and women. We go from exhilaration to devastation, from matching to ghosting, from romantic joyrides to getting jolted — all within the blink of an eye. It's easy to assume the problems were the other person’s fault. After all, it was the "crazy" women or "piece of trash" men who lied, cheated, manipulated, or took advantage of us. Sometimes, we blame the other person.

Peer-assisted injection as a harm reduction measure in a supervised consumption service: a qualitative study of client experiences
Abstract Background Peer assistance is an emerging area of study in injection drug use. When Canada’s first supervised consumption site (SCS) opened in 2003 in Vancouver, Canada, clients were prohibited from injecting their peers; only recently has this practise been introduced as a harm reduction measure at these sites. In 2018, Health Canada granted federal exemption to allow peer-assisted injection at certain SCS sites, under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
