Rail Glass Panels Not Connecting at the Corner + Bottom Rail Misalignment
Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with a balustrade corner in Archicad and I’m not sure how to fix it. In my rail settings, the glass panels don't connect properly at the corner when the angle is 90° or close to 90°. The glass only connects correctly when the corner is obtuse — in obtuse angles the glass behaves as expected and joins cleanly.
using the 'if' function in property manager for calculating an area of certain zones
Hello everyone, I was hoping someone can help me with this. I need to take out 30 square meters from the calculated area of certain zones and not all of the zones for building permit calculations. These zones are differentiated by the other ones by their zone number, they have a zone number named 30. I have tried writing a custom property in the property manager as follows: IF (Zone number = 30 ; Calculated area - 30 m2). I chose the data type as being a string. It doesn't work.
Complex profiles Column x Beam
What is the easiest way of "joining" Columns and Beams with complex profiles like my example on the right? The elements don't need to be Beams and Columns, but they should be easily editable, while using complex profiles. I have a bunch of such frames in my project, but I need the complex profile transitions to be seamless and I need to be able to change/update the profile. Operating system used: Windows You can set the column and beam end or top/bottom to have an angle.
Door resolution bug
Changing the resolution in 29 does not affect the handle. In 28 it works OK. Can someone else confirm this? All settings are in Full Detail. Operating system used: Windows Civil Engineer, Enviromental Design MSc. BS ArchitectsVR. Graphisoft Insider Panelist-Archicad 29. Windows 11. Intel Xeon 2699x2,64 GB RAM, Nvidia ny or personal website3080Ti. 2 Monitors. 4 REPLIES 4 I don't see any effect either when changing the resolution in AC29.
Fit screen in Archicad
Hello everyone, I’m having a problem in Archicad 25. I took over a residential building renovation project from a colleague (see photo floor plan OK), and when I click the “Fit to Screen” button (see photo floorplan 02), the view zooms out and I can only see outlines in the upper left corner (see photo floor plan 03). When I try to switch to another floor, the same thing happens, and I’m forced to close and reopen the file each time.
Complex wall with offset modifiers intersection issue.
I'm encountering a problem, where if I lay two complex profile walls on top of each other, and use vertical offset modifiers to change sheathing/insulation height on both, it creates a protruding corner on the bottom wall. I could not use a complex profile on the top wall and just make a seperate wall section that is just a block without sheathing or insulation, but would like to know if there are any better ways to solve this.
How to Set Story 0 as the Reference Level for Dimensions
I would like to make Story 0 (Lobby) the reference level for my dimension levels, so that the Lobby level becomes +0.05 instead of +1.05. How can I adjust the reference level so that the elevation dimension starts from Story 0? Operating system used: Windows 10 3 REPLIES 3 You can set a seperate custom reference level in Options > Project Preferences > Reference Levels.
Simplify Cinerender material parameters
I find parameters to create cinerender materials way too complicated compared to the final result. Many parameters produce not visible effects. I think it would be better to have the chance to use few settings to work with to obtain certain effects. More or less as many real-time renderers do. I consider Cinerender a super aid for those who want to keep everything (drawings, documentation, visualization) coordinate under the same system... and it should be simpler to be more effective.
New parameters for the zone
In the Property Manager of Archicad, you can create as many Properties as you want, make them available for the "Space" Classification, assign the "Space" Classification to all Zones, so all these Properties will be available for Zones.
