Americans are being inundated with news coverage of Israelis killed, wounded, or taken hostage in the October 7 raid on Israel by Hamas (see previous coverage at revcom.us.). The media is putting special emphasis on dead and missing Americans, as if American lives are more important than anyone else’s. To be clear, Hamas’s wanton murders of non-combatants, including children, were war crimes and cannot in any way be upheld.
