Interview
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes, I’ve used a typewriter—there was something magical about the clack of the keys, and getting through without errors felt like winning an award.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
I’d have to go with Lois Lane. She’s tenacious and always chasing the truth.
Why did you become a journalist?
I couldn’t resist the pull of stories waiting to be told.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Being the English Literary Editor of The OLCAN was a game-changer—it strengthened my editing skills and fueled my storytelling drive.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I once interviewed the Flag Officer in Command of the Navy—my first time with someone that important. That story still stands out.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Great question! After seeing countless pitches, the winners are always clear, compelling, and real.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I'd be doing house chores, reading a book, or spending time with my youngest one—just rolling with whatever sparks his interest!
