How A Campus Chanukah Party Broke Barriers
The Chabad on Princeton University’s campus held the first-ever fully kosher event two weeks ago at Prospect House, an event space and faculty dining hall in the heart of the campus. Prospect House’s history goes back more than a century and used to be the home of university presidents. Woodrow Wilson’s wife designed the building’s five-acre garden to give her daughter somewhere to relax away from the stares of the all-male student body.

Supreme Court Justices Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor spoke for more than an hour on Friday evening at Princeton University about the importance of neutrality for justices and the struggles women face in the workplace without once saying the name ‘Kavanaugh.’ ‘It’s an incredibly important thing for the court to guard, is this reputation of being fair, of being impartial, of being neutral,’ Kagan said.

Perth coward punch attacker Joshua Billington had history of drunk crime
A FORMER Ivy League college student convicted of a coward punch in Leederville has a history of drunken crimes in the US — despite his lawyers claiming in court that he had lived an exemplary life and never taken part in antisocial behaviour. Joshua Billington, 22, says he did not tell his Perth lawyers about his overseas record after he felled Mitch Davis in August because he did not think it was relevant.

Was there a better way? Princeton Police Chief Nick Sutter speaks out
This article was originally published in the May 2018 Princeton Echo. From a law enforcement point of view, it’s easy to think of Princeton as a quiet town. With a low crime rate and a fairly affluent population, the town is a genteel place where the police blotter usually mentions speeding infractions, burglaries, scams of senior citizens, and drunk driving arrests.
Armed Officers Will Patrol New Jersey Town’s Schools
And at a news conference Tuesday about gun safety in schools, Gov. Philip D. Murphy announced that the New Jersey State Police would start regular, but unannounced, officer visits to the 107 schools in districts where it has jurisdiction. “Any parent watching should feel that we are doing everything we can,” Mr. Murphy said during the news conference, which was carried live by local television stations. New Jersey has some of the toughest gun laws in the country.
