A new report examining pro-Palestinian encampments at universities across the nation claims Tulane used excessive force to disband the 2024 demonstration. Amnesty International published the report, “Student Speech Under Attack,” in partnership with the American Civil Liberties Union on Sept. 18. It is based on a two-year investigation into pro-Palestinian encampments at 80 colleges across the country — six of these universities were used as case studies, including Tulane.
