Evan McKeirnan’s Biography
Evan McKeirnan has dedicated nearly 30 years to the corporate aviation industry, a career rooted in a deep passion for aviation that began during high school. After developing an early interest in aircraft, he pursued his education at Spokane Community College in Washington, where he earned his FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificates and an Associate degree in Applied Science—Aviation Maintenance. This strong foundation set the stage for a long and successful career.
In addition to his A&P certification, Evan holds Inspection Authorization (IA), FAA Private Pilot, and Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) Remote Pilot certifications. His training is extensive, with specialized courses at FlightSafety International for Gulfstream G450 and G550 aircraft. His commitment to excellence in aviation has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the FAA Silver and Bronze Awards and the AMT Society’s “NextGen 40 under 40” recognition. He has also received the FlightSafety Savannah Top Troubleshooter Award and the Master Technician Award for his exceptional technical skills.
Evan began his professional journey in 1999 in Van Nuys, California, working as Crew Chief on various Gulfstream aircraft, including the GII, GIII, GIV, and GV. Over the years, his responsibilities expanded, and he took on more senior roles, including Chief Inspector and Maintenance Technician. His expertise in aircraft maintenance led to management positions at several aviation companies, where he oversaw maintenance operations for large fleets of Gulfstream aircraft. Evan’s leadership was crucial in managing compliance with FAA regulations, developing maintenance schedules, and ensuring aircraft safety in various operational environments.
As Chief Inspection and Maintenance Supervisor at Western Jet Aviation, Evan managed a team of technicians, coordinated significant projects, and worked closely with top-tier clients, including NASA and Lockheed Martin. His leadership and technical knowledge played a key role in successfully managing maintenance operations for complex aircraft systems. Later, he took on the role of Director of Maintenance at Prime Jet and Aero Cadre/Monza Aviation, overseeing Gulfstream aircraft operating globally. He managed all aspects of fleet maintenance, from ensuring compliance with international aviation regulations to coordinating aircraft delivery and custom modifications.
Evan currently serves as Maintenance Supervisor at Solairus Aviation, where he ensures the airworthiness and safety of private jets. He remains committed to staying at the forefront of the industry through ongoing training in Gulfstream GVI-G650 maintenance and other aviation safety courses.
Evan McKeirnan’s career is defined by a passion for aviation, a commitment to safety, and a dedication to continuous learning. Outside of his professional life, he is an accomplished offroad motorcycle racer, competing in the AMA District 37 Grand Prix and Desert series. He has earned numerous victories throughout his career. Evan is also committed to mentoring the next generation of aviation professionals, regularly speaking to students, and assisting aspiring A&Ps in achieving their goals.
