We obtained data from Dutch employees registered in the Longitudinal Internet Studies for the Social Sciences (LISS) panel, overseen by CentERdata Research Institute. This panel comprises approximately 7,500 randomly selected Dutch individuals from Statistics Netherlands’ database [60]. The panel members participate in an annual survey on various topics, and more information is available at www.lissdata.nl.
Introduction Owing to the aging population (OECD, 2021) and the shortage of competent young employees, the concept of sustainable employability (SE), has lately attracted substantial attention–particularly in many developed countries (Gürbüz et al., 2022a). Since an aging workforce is more prone to experience age-related health complaints, enhancing a worker’s SE is an important topic from both organizational and workers’ perspectives (Truxillo et al., 2015).
