PLT rebrand: A ‘Legacy in Progress’?
Image source: Wikimedia Commons Once the go-to site for £5 night-out clothes, disposable fashion trends and collaborations with influencers from reality TV like Love Island, Pretty Little Thing have done away with the bubblegum pink and unicorns, club couture and disposable fashion trends in place of muted neutrals and simplistic ‘investment pieces.’ PLT’s founder and returning CEO Umar Kamani states “We are leaving ‘fast fashion’ as we currently know it behind and discouraging wearing items...
Writer's review: Bao Down
The dreaded lunchtime gap between lectures. Even worse, on a Monday. With nothing to eat, my friend and I went in search of something cheap, tasty, quick and different – Grainger Market was the obvious choice, which is when we came across Bao Down. Their whole menu sounded lush, but the loaded fries were what reeled me in. I got the teriyaki chicken fries, my friend the chicken katsu curry ones, and we were both blown away by the flavours and the portions.

There’s lots of underrated autumnal drinks and flavours which match the vibe and make those cold days just that extra bit warmer.

Choosing where to do your picnic might take a bit more thought than just walking down the street and finding the nearest field. Public parks are a good shout, but not the quietest or most private.
