Into the Wild
I've heard the story in detail on radio. Who's playing the lead? Sean is too old, right? I just heard about a book called "NIGHT". The author read over 400 journals of people who were alive before the invention of false light (gas, electric etc). It sounds fascinating. BTW, I just saw STALAG 17 for the first time y'day and i loved it. I'm starting to really appreciate old movies.
drug for low self esteem
Antidepressants, maybe? They aren't called "happy pills" for nothing. :b On a side note, I have noticed that stimulants like Ritalin and Adderall do seem to give me more self-confidence than usual, which makes me feel good about myself, as opposed to just feeling good (aka euphoria). It's like stimulants make me impervious to those annoying thoughts that exacerbate anxiety and trample on self-esteem.

WU WEI WISDOM
I wanted to share the latest tool I'm using to keep anxiety from re-occurring. On YT there is a channel called Wu Wei Wisdom. A therapist who also is a monk (he's married tho so...) has very helpful videos, covering dozens of topics. They all will help lessen anxiety and point one in the right direction, which is past anxiety. Another REALLY helpful therapist on YT is Patrick Teahan. A more nuts and bolts, psychologically-based approach.
From Therapy in a Nutshell, Foods that lower Cortisol and Increase Calm
I watched an interesting video today titled 5 Foods that lower cortisol. Its from a channel called Therapy in a Nutshell, run by Emma McAdam, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist .
Complex PTSD and Triggers
Hello, Just checking in. Haven't done so in a while. The latest most effective thing I've done for my health is listened to a LiSW on YT named Patrick Teahan. He teaches about triggers from childhood that can cause anxiety when situations occur in our adult life. Its extremely effective to be able to back track and find out why a situation that is nothing like our childhood experience, causes anxiety. And then defuse it. He teaches that. Just wanted to pass this on to anyone who thinks it might help.
