Atomic-scale regulation of ion motion and phonon scattering: ALD-driven interface engineering for stabilizing β-Zn 4 Sb 3
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCUSSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share Abstract Metal ion migration under operational gradients triggers irreversible decomposition and performance collapse in thermoelectric (TE) materials. β-Zn4Sb3 has high TE performance but suffers from severe zinc (Zn) ion migration under an external field.

Thermoelectric (TE) materials with high efficiency near room temperature are crucial for low-temperature waste-heat recovery and solid-state cooling applications. Among them, Mg3(Sb, Bi)2-based Zintl compounds have emerged as leading n-type materials due to their intrinsically low lattice thermal conductivity and favorable electronic structure.

Antimony sulfide (Sb2S3) has gathered great interest as a promising absorber material in new-generation photovoltaic applications in recent years, due to its earth-abundant composition and environmental compatibility. While the material has been extensively studied in detail in its bulk, crystalline form, obtaining Sb2S3 in a colloidal form is challenging, although Sb2S3 nanocrystals could enable low-temperature processing from solution.
Tuning the Adsorption of H and OH on Ruthenium Aerogel to Boost the Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution
Ruthenium (Ru) is an ideal alternative to platinum for the alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) due to its exceptional catalytic performance. However, during the reaction, the excessively strong adsorption of proton (H) and hydroxyl (OH) species on Ru significantly limits its alkaline HER activity. Herein, we enhanced the alkaline HER performance of Ru by modulating its crystalline phase structure and incorporating a low dosage of Cr ions.
