Obituary: Assam’s sole Muslim and woman CM Syeda Anwara Taimur
Assam has remained a land of migration and immigration. The series of conflict and agitation during the Assam Movement on the citizenship Issue (1975-1985) created social instability and ethnic discord. Issues of insurgency and agitation affected the economy badly. President Rule was brought in Assam after the collapse of state government headed by Jogendra Nath Hazarika in 1979. Triple Talaq and the Muslim women qoutient
The passage of Triple Talaq bill in the Lok Sabha has once again stirred the debate around it. India having a population of 1.3 billion hosts around 14% of the Muslims. ‘Feminism Is Nothing But Retaliation’ And Other Such Misgivings

I have often heard people mocking feminism with all the wrong notions.

Being one of the world’s most persecuted communities the misery and despair know no end here.
Opinion: You Can Whitewash The Graffiti At Jamia, But Not Our Memories
I will never forget the date, 12th December, 2019. It was a usual December evening, I was in my hostel room preparing for the exam the next day. At around seven in the evening, somebody knocked at my door. I was seeing this girl for the first time, she introduced herself by saying she is from the same floor. She asked whether I knew anything about the rally that was going to take place against the CAB (now CAA), Citizenship Amendment Bill. Yes it was a Bill then.
To Shaheen Bagh, With love
A graphical illustration of Shaheenbagh after police eviction. Shaheen/Maktoob Shaheen Bagh protest site was no less than a home to me. An outstation student in Delhi I had no home of mine. Being a hostel dweller after the December 15th event of Jamia, a sense of insecurity crept in and I would not feel safe in the hostel anymore. As things unfolded one event after another I started feeling detached with the hostel and like a homeless person I had nowhere to go.
