GUEST COMMENTARY - What’s in an AI Agency?
How it’s so much more than ChatGPT for Marketing AI is everywhere. Need copy for an email or a social post? Drop it into ChatGPT. Looking for an image or video? There’s a tool for that, too. Research? Unlimited opportunities at your fingertips. But here’s the truth: while AI is readily available, marketing—especially in life sciences—isn’t as simple as plugging prompts into a chatbot. Today’s brands need more than fragmented tools.
Can new technology save elderly health care in Florida? Yes | Opinion
Opinion Faruk Capan Wed, December 17, 2025 at 10:02 AM UTC 3 min read Florida has a unique opportunity to lead in the future of patient-first, market-driven elder care transformation. Gov. Ron DeSantis has positioned the state as willing to challenge healthcare orthodoxy. The Florida Legislature just passed one of the nation’s strongest certificate-of-need reforms, breaking down barriers to healthcare innovation. And the state is attracting medical talent fleeing overregulated states.
The Pharmaceutical Industry Is Missing the MAHA Moment – DC Journal - InsideSources
I spent 25 years in the pharmaceutical and healthcare innovation ecosystem. I’ve built AI systems for patient care, led brand strategy for global companies, and worked across every dimension of our industry’s complex machinery. I have no political agenda and no government contracts. That independence allowed me to do something most pharma executives won’t: attend the MAHA Summit in Washington on Nov. 12.
Phishing Scams and Cybersecurity: The Good and Bad of AI
It is no secret artificial intelligence (AI) has become increasingly powerful and more widely used in a variety of applications. From self-driving cars to facial recognition, AI has become an integral part of our lives, and the implications are far-reaching. But risks come with any technology and innovation, and when put in the wrong hands, AI could be used for malicious purposes.
4 Website Qualities that Make People Feel Better and Drive Health Actions
Most people don’t casually browse online for health information. Usually, they’re turning to the internet to seek help for a specific reason—perhaps a troubling symptom has emerged, or they’re preparing for an upcoming doctor’s appointment. This type of active, results-oriented search behavior is typical across hundreds of health conditions and thousands of search queries. The fact is, as varied as medical topics may be, the people who go online to find health information share many similarities.
Will AI make pharma marketers obsolete?
Artificial intelligence is sometimes seen as either a panacea or a destroyer – the fix for all humanity’s problems, or the apocalyptic scourge that will turn on us. Even among less hysterical people, there’s still a lot of worry. Will AI take our jobs away? If the algorithms get better and better, at what point will they stop helping us do our jobs better, and just start doing them in our place? What about us pharma marketers? Are we just one update away from being out of a job?
Futuristic-But Realistic
Futuristic technology is good for headlines. Every trendspotter in the game loves to talk about artificial intelligence and machine learning, virtual reality and augmented reality, robots and chatbots, etc. But sometimes, those stories can begin to feel a bit more like sci-fi entertainment, rather than like anything that’s actually part of our day-to-day reality. Can pharma marketers take practical, tactical steps to use cutting-edge tech in ways that actually demonstrate ROI?
How Trends Help Us Innovate in Uncertain Times
In my last column, I discussed the importance of continuing to innovate in times of rapid change. This time, I’ll talk about how watching trends can help us get that done, despite uncertain times. The biopharmaceutical industry’s fundamental purpose and highly regulated processes have kept it risk-averse. While the industry looks positively on innovation, it doesn’t always take well to disruption. So how can pharma marketers forge ahead despite rocky waters? In a word: Knowledge.
Want to Take a Rocket to China?
The revolutionary success of SpaceX is no secret—engineers are successfully launching Falcon 9 into space and landing it safely back on Earth, bringing us closer to Elon Musk’s goal of commercial space travel than ever before. Having surpassed the expectations of sceptics who did not believe a safe, passenger-ready rocket could be produced from the many initial explosions and disasters, Musk proved once again that he can achieve exactly what he sets out to do.

How Green Is Your Christmas Tree?
There has always been some confusion about whether reusing an artificial Christmas tree is the environmentally ethical thing to do. Should we really cut down trees, many wonder, when we spend the rest of the year going green? According to the National Christmas Tree Association, you absolutely should. There are some important reasons you should forget plastic trees and keep it real (besides the wonderful fresh pine smell!).Almost all Christmas tree farms are small, family-owned businesses.
Remembering the Humanity in What We Do
Many of us were drawn to the healthcare industry because of the potential to make a difference—but sometimes, the work can get in the way of the mission. We can get so deep into the day-to-day that we forget about the purpose behind it. Twenty years ago, my career began with the launch of Teva’s Copaxone for multiple sclerosis. A major plank in its marketing platform was patient support, and my role was to create its online component. In the late 1990s, this was revolutionary.
Great Science = Great Marketing
In our industry, science is all around us. But it is a science that has absolutely nothing to do with pharmaceutical compounds that has my attention these days—and should have yours, too. Actually, it is not one science, but two—data science and behavioral science. Both have come into their own, and combined, are propelling marketing programs forward by leaps and bounds. Simply said, successful marketing organizations must be able to comprehend, manipulate, and analyze data.
