Fehmi Koru

I am a veteran journalist in Turkey an I have worked in several daily papers in my capacity as a columnist, bureau chief and editor in chief for my thirty odd years in journalism.
My journalistic work has produced 9 books, one of which is in English. The latest book in Turkish I wrote came out this April, titled 'Ben Böyle Gördüm' ('Thus I Saw'), it is about a religious group that I have observed almost 30 years, and incidentally came to be accused of taking part in military take-over in July of this year.
Most recently I was senior columnist in daily Haberturk.
I keep writing daily political commentaries in an internet site which I myself started and I am on my way to set up an independent site to cover politics in Turkey.
I received some of my education in the USA at Harvard University (AM 82).
